Question:
You say that frequently at the roots of an illness there is a
spiritual crisis: what do you mean by 'spiritual crisis'?
Answer
A spiritual crisis is an experience in life which brings a person into a confrontation of meaning a purpose. A person is forced through circumstances that are too difficult for the heart or mind alone to cope with to reach into the depths of their spirit for insight and survival. Spiritual crises lead a person into positions of choice in life, where those choices are fundementally life changing and filled with self-examination of personal values, spiritual purpose, and one's relationship with God.
