and of course
both in their stubborness
and refusal to give an inch
will shoot the messenger
who can do nothing but flinch.

It is so easy to allow
misinterpretation to fly
look for hidden meanings
perspective warped and lost.
Shot, the messenger shall die.

Ah well, and so hurt pride
shall flourish and grow
each in their own corner
refusal to see eye to eye
funny how misconstrued meanings
are theirs to plant and sow.

The messenger grows weary now
hangs head and
walks silently away.
If two cannot see what
what is just beneath their noses
then the messenger can do
nothing, she's had her say.

Emma

Nicely crafted, Emma, and what you say is frequently the case.

It is sometimes better if the messenger should come from a third territory and therefor have a completely nuetral view of both parties involved. Human nature being what is is...complete impartiality is always difficult, Zy

Emma great words for you have just put down in words what I feel about another situation (no details given)
Words and meanings can so often be taken out of context and interpretations grow out of all proportion.
But smiling, I understand exactly what you mean...Tony

Thanks Peter,

lol - my youngest son does that - you try telling him something and he gets that look on his face - its so maddening at times lol.  I suppose we can all be headstrong at times.

Thanks Clive,

You are so right - Its never nice to be caught between two people

sometimes you just have to put your hands in the air and walk away.
