i had a job i loved - traded it for another job (700$ a week) they laid me off. now i have no job. you are the first one i have told. Do you want fries with that?

I'm very sorry, Attacking Toad. I hope you find another one soon; preferably one that you like or at least is agreeable. I'll think good thoughts for you: I hope things turn out good for you in these times.

2. File with unemployment.

3. Update your resume.

4. Any chance the old job is needing someone?

5. Tell everyone in your world you are looking for work.

6. Assess all your capabilities. Anything you know how to do that you hadn't thought of as employment? Giving lessons? Fixing things? Running errands for homebound people? Writing a book?

7. Consider EVERYTHING.

i thank everyone for the very kind wishes. i still not have told my family. they must think that as with school im at x-mas break. thats not the case. i dont know if working at a place for two months that i can get unemployment. got some money not alot set aside but no heath insurance. the health insurance is on my shoulders. i with thousands others as i am NOT alone in this world today. i love you all. do as best ya can at your job and be happy for it. it may not be there tomorrow. save your money.

hey toad, i hear ya...

my two sons, joe the plumber type, both lost their jobs

and so did pappy...

so our christmas was scant....

and we are in the throes of moving.... lost the house.

so much for bailing out the wall street types, and their

golden praachutes....

we have no one to bail us out.... and their arent any

jobs out there to be had....

so we are all splitting up, and heading in different

directions... sigh.....

who is gonna bail us out?

i aint gonna pay their lously taxes

let the guys who did it pay for it.

i cant aford it..

and so much for the small business that my sons worked for

the one that made over 250.000....

no work, no workers.

no supplies, no credit, no loans.

There will be tough times, but we can ride tem out. I hope you find another employ soon, A.T.

i am gonna apply at TACO BELL. the only place around here looking for help. seven hundred dollars a week i brought home. hope my bank holds my money and dont fail. i need health insurance for my family, like right now............ who dont love taco bell? tell them toad sent ya................................. i am humbled i am not the only sad story at least this house and our rides are paid for, taxes sux its like ya rent what ya own. i think of others who have no jobs and familys and house payments with no jobs around....... the times are here my friends look up to the sky and prey for Jesus to return................

just got a call from someone who has been on the job 23 years who planned on being there the job is no more..............................................................
