Well another weekend , another dollar. LOL I was over in Oklahoma calling some sand drags this weekend. Also had a stock car race at Ardmore. This has been a busy year. Sharla and I have postponed the wedding until after the racing season . It is just too hectic to add something that is as important as that to an already crowded schedule. Like I said I was up there in Oklahoma . Woke up one morning with the goshdangesh toothache a feller could have. A dentist is just one of those people I just really don't want to be around. I hate 'em! I tried to get by with the old ice bag routine but then I found I had a hurting frozen tooth. Of coarse I tried that tooth medicine that is suppose to take away the pain instantly. Remind me to sue those people later for false advertising. Finally Sharla got me in a head lock and we went to the dentist. Well , when I got in that chair that dentist opened my mouth and looked inside with his little mirror thingy, then leaned back and said he was going to have to pull it . Of coarse I groaned , half for the pain and half for the prospect of needles, and pliers, and cotton being stuffed in my mouth. I ask how much and the the dentist said. " Well sir, that will cost you $5000 dollars." I almost fell out of the chair. I was finally able to ask " Why so much ?" And he said, " Well sir, usually my price is $20, but I am going to have to go up through your rear end to pull this one because up here in Oklahoma we don't allow Texans to open their mouth, " LOL |

That was a real zinger, DoodleDanD! Loved it! You really set it up good! Hmmm, maybe the dentist has a thought there about Texans? Just kidding. Hoping for further developments with you and Sharla. |

Hi there DDD!!! thanks for my giggle of the day!! A couple of weeks ago,we took Ninjaboy to the dentist for the very first time,he was soooo brave!!We were told he had a few surface cavities,nothing to major ,so you know what that means. They set up another appt.to have the cavities taken care of,I'll tell you,the ndad and nkid and I were nervous wrecks!Ndad brought us in and went and waited outside at the picnic table,Nkid sat with me fidgeting and kept looking every time the door opened,he finally came out,asked him if it hurt,he said"just a little bit"I asked him if he cried,he said"well,there's no need for that mom,you gotta do what you gotta do,and be brave,I'm not a little boy you know". |

DoodleDanD, I know just what you mean. I hate dentists also. Won't go unless my head's about to fall off. And laughing gas doesn't help me...thanks for the laugh. NMom, you should be so proud of your son. He's braver than a lot of adults...me included. |
