Wear glasses? What type/kind: Yes, Have the new Prism on Right lense right now to try out...reminds me of a color form :) Will be able to have it inserted permately when I have to get new glasses. It has helped the pain behind my eye. Takes away some of the strain.

Possible connection(s) to SOM: All

Current SOM status: In occurrance right now. My life has completely changed with my new Doctor. Dr Van Stavern from the Kriesge Eye Institute in Michigan has saved my life. His research is helping teach SOM to up coming optilmoligists at Wayne State University. It took me so long to find this doctor...and it was by chance that I was able to meet him.

Current age:34
Gender:Female

Additional thoughts:

I was mis diagnosed with Optic Nueritis for over 3 years...I will never take steriods ever in my life unless I was on my dealth bed. The other doctors were so focused on my maybe having MS...they focused less on my eye problems.

I am ashamed that when I am in occurrance, I do hide out and try not to be social. I have been seeking help from a Pychotheropist for a few years now. I still can not get over my personality change when my eye starts to shake and shimmer....
