I have been using a beta blocker called Betaxolol .5% Ophath. Sol. for about 2 months now.  It is hard to know whether it is really reducing the twitching but it maybe helping in that way.

It seems to have reduced the feeling of pain in my Wonky Eye and that motivates me to continue to take it.  Anyone out there ever tried this one.

I was on Betaxolol .25% for the past 2 weeks.  I just discontinued it because, in conjunction with my current blood pressure medication, it too lowered my blood pressure and it was causing me to be very emotional - crying for no reason over everything!!!  It did nothing to reduce any of my symptoms.

I have just been prescribed Gabapenten, but haven't started it yet - I am waiting until the weekend is over - not sure how it will react with alcohol!!! lol

Good luck, and I know what you mean about the alcohol.   Let us know how it goes for you.  You might want to post it on the general board, as well.
