Question:

When you have a feather fan, how do you make sure the feathers stay whole and healthy? I have feathers that grow very thin and even fall apart. Since a very dear friend gave the wing of a beautiful duck to me for smudging I want to make sure I pay due repect and preserve the feathers well.
