just starting to do research on my mother having trouble getting records have email someone at the archives.hope she can help have to do lots of research and as usual i 'm stuck. not giving up through! my mothers name is michellene marie fern caron she was born in1945 i think. suppose to be cree and blackfoot in her family. unfornatly i don't have a lot of info. on her she was born in montreal  quebec i never knew that i had  so much information  that i would have to go through. things will work out i know in my heart that i am native and i will find her one day. from sincere evelyn

 

 

i have gone to web sites that the indian affairs have suggested plus library archives and ones in books. but  i only know my mothers full name and were she was born  my mother was born in montreal quebec and she was born in 1945 or 1946 not sure she was 19 when she had me. its really hard when you have nothing much to go on  so you see why its a stuggle for me. but i am going to continue looking . i may have to hire someone to find her for a flat rait cause i am on a fixed income so its not easy thats for sure .thank you for getting back to me from sincere evelyn.
