WHY: To bring awareness to the fact that it is Leonard Peltier’s birthday
and he is spending it in prison once again for the 33rd time in his life. Mr.
Peltier has spent more than half of his life in prison based on circumstantial
evidence and false testimony. Some of us believe that a separate demonstration
is needed at the Federal Courthouse on September 12th to increase the education
about the imprisonment of Leonard Peltier. Many are unaware, have grown
apathetic or just do not know who or why Leonard Peltier is in prison. A parole
hearing is due to Mr. Peltier by the end of December 2008, the public and Indian
Country needs to mobilize NOW to get him home to be with his family.
BRING SIGNS, BANNERS AND FLAGS, IN SUPPORT OF
LEONARD PELTIER’S FREEDOM.
LET’S GET LEONARD PELTIER’S CASE AT THE FOREFRONT OF AMERICA NOW!!!!
***Following this demonstration at the US Courthouse we will continue on over
to the Tulsa Union Football Stadium for the SPIRIT and TICAR event planned from
5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

siyo LemmyTalk, boy I would love to be there but I'm going in for shoulder surgery in the next ten or so days. Every columbus day A.I.M. holds a rally at teh Peace Arch. (Canadian/U.S. border) My adopted Uncle Harold Belmont usually M.C.'s the event. Plus it's about 2000 miles closer to where I am. lol. I would like for you to send me petition addreses or the best websites of where our voice might mean something, if you would please. I watched that (white eyes) documentary on what happened that day. He was no more guilty that our other two brothers, it's just that in the white eyes someone had to be held accountable. It's been too long hold an inocent man.
