Time Slippin Away
All the years of my life, have passed so very swift,
And now in the autumn of my youth, I feel so adrift.
Growing fast toward the time, when the years are at last,
I then look back with open eyes, and hunger for the past.
The forest so full of trees with dense leaves,
Hide the sun from freckled faces running fast and free
We ran with enjoyment and laughter abound,
This new youth spirit was full of happy sounds
The lure of all these things was a dazzling delight
Peels of laughter, squeals of joy, meant everything's was all right.
All of our allotted time that we were given at the start ,
The best is the time that we can live while young at heart.
So come with me, and play as the clock is ticking loud.
Live life, and love, and dance with me upon a cloud.
Recapture youth, like a child's heart, and it will set you free,
See the world through these children eyes....Come and Love with me.
