By Maria Yraceburu, LLd., copyright author/ Quero Apache Tlish Diyan 'tsanti 1/1/2001 - Moon of Many Fires - Year of Manifestation Taking the time, daily, to recognize the spiritual foce in everyone and everything tht is all about us, encourages us to feel humble, to feel awe. Reflecting on our interconnections, our need for one and all to complete the universe, lessens whatever adversity we might feel as we struggle with our humanity. Healing is moving through storms, storms that help sprout new growth, storms that flush clean our own clogged connections to the totality of All That Is. The peace that comes is worth singing about. We can each make a contribution today for the good of someone else and thus for ourselves. And in the act of looking to this day - to giving to another - we will sense the inner perfection we mistakenly long for in our outer selves. We all know people who live on the fringes of life. They seem uninvolved with the activity in their midst, as though a pane of glass separated them from us. And there are times when we join the persons standing alone away from the vibrancy of life. Fears keep people apart, particularly the fear of letting go of the vulnerable self and joining in the feelings of the moment. We need not feel helpless and powerless about the events of our lives. True, we cannot control others, and we cannot curb the momentum of a situation, but we can choose our own responses to both; these choices heighten our sense of self and well-being and positively influence the quality of the day. Living in the here and now opens up untold possibilities for new growth. Our inner self is enticed in new directions when our attention is fully in the present. When our minds are still on an arguement of the past or a meeting tomorrow, we wear blinders to the activity at hand. And Spirit, as our teacher and protector, resides in THIS experience, in the hearts of THESE people present. We love to be loved; we love to be held; we love to be caressed. A show of appreciation we love too. And we love to know we've been heard. The friends, the spouses, the children in our lives want the same from us. Like a garden that needs water and sun to nurture the growth, so does love need attending to. To become whole and healthy human beings, we need tender nurturing. And we also need to giveaway what we desire most. Those we nurture will bless our growth. |
