Hello there:
A bit about my statistics....I am a mom and a grandmom (nana). I hail from the eastern seaboard and had spent too many years away from home travel nursing and such. Presently I am undergoing chemo and radiation, which by the way keeps amazing me. No matter what pops up...there is a prayer, Light and medical miracle to handle it.
Used to write and create but it seems those juices are on hold right now. I am hoping being a part of AROL again will get things rolling creatively as well as spiritually.
Had recently set some goals, among them, biking again. Got a new one a couple weeks ago and have had quite a time with my grandaughter and our little adventures. Have you seen the new bikes? They have shocks and gel seats and comfort grip handles and just about everything an auto has. Amazing. I grew up with a roadmaster coaster bike. Big difference to todays fares.
Have spent as much time as possible at the pool with this summer being so hot, sticky and barely tolerable. It seems the older I get the less tolerant my body is to extremes. So a cool dip is just what the doctor ordered!
Also, the older I get the more clearly I can see the big picture. A big plus on aging. It is wonderful to be able to look at a not so nice situation now and say...oh well...it will pass, things will get better and actually believe it. "LOL"
My next goal is getting some sewing projects started. Used to spend hours at my machine. It was a sort of therapy for me. Am considering making roman shades. Too lofty a goal you say? Perhaps, but this lady is on a roll now so let the fabric and thread fly!!!!
