Hello All, I am back, I think..lol When I went to the doctor last Monday he said I had fluid in my ears still and told me it should go away. It seems to have done that with the help of some decongestants and a little trick he told me about to help relieve the pressure of the fluid. He told me to use the technique you use when you fly on plane to relieve the pressure when it hits in your ears. He said to hold my nose ( after taking a breath of air) and to blow until I felt the pressure of the air in my ears, then when I do a yawning motion the pop slightly and that relieves the pressure temporarily with the ear fluid. It works. For the first two or three days I have to do this three times or so a day.. and then it started to get much better so I only did it once or twice a day. It was amazing how well that worked in helping to alleviate the discomfort of the pressure. He said not to blow too hard or it might injure the eardrums, so just enough to feel the pressure, then stop. I hope to be back alot more than I have been for quite awhile. I miss reading your messages on the boards and the wonderful conversations that used to start here on the boards. I hope that you will feel like posting too and starting some conversations that everyone will join in on. Its good to be back, I have missed all of you and want to thank you for your prayers and thoughts. Prayers sure have helped me! I want to share with you that yesterday I had wonderful day. My youngest son ("Techno" here) and his family got to spend the day and evening here yesterday after picking up my oldest granson from the military base in South Carolina where he went through basic training. He graduated from basic Friday and they drove up and stopped at a motel in town here. We went out to eat and it was so good to see him and my grandsons and youngest granddaughter. I also got to meet my youngest great grandson too. They had him with them, but his mother didn't get to come along this time. It has been a little over 5 years since I saw any of my family and I was so happy to spend time with them. They had to leave early this morning to take my grandson to his next base in Maryland, but my son is keeping contact by phone to let me know how the trip is going. It was so good to see them and so wonderful to see how my grandchildren have grown. I got lots of hugs and kisses so that was great too!! I wish they could have stayed longer, but one day was great too. Have a good day everyone and enjoy whatever you do! Love in Light and Peace, Winds of Change |

Thanks Angl/Betty, I am still improving in my health everyday, but this past week, Phoenix and I both spent most of it sleeping. Amazing how much energy it takes when you get older to be able to function. lol We were both tired from working in the house to get things ready for my son's visit and they didn't get a chance to come out here and see it. lol We are both getting back on our feet now and my son says he is still tired when I talked to him on the phone. lol It was all good though. Hey John Boy, It is good to see you back on the boards. I have missed all of you and am happy to see some posting again in here. You mentioned all of the pretty springy things and I have been enjoying seeing the grass filled with violets and dandelions.. yes dandelions..lol I love them in the Spring, they just perk up the spirits with their beautiful sunshiney color. I look forward to seeing you around more and hope that we are all getting over the hump of our things we all have had to deal with, which seems right, as we don't want to get too complacent and too know it all..lol There are still alot missing here on the boards, but hopefully they will start showing up too soon. I am learning to live with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, so hopefully I can keep my head on straight and my pain under control better and feel like a spring chicken for awhile. lol It is really good to see you old friend. Easter in the UK was cool thanks, although as it was early it seems to have caught a lot of schools out as some took the holidays early and some took them around about now. I guess it happens that way, lol I'm 53 so I guess I'm gonna know in about a decade what getting old is like. As I was born with a stigmatism I am noticing that my site as far as reading is not good. I have needed glasses more and more now. I've had reading glasses for a few years now. Lee |

Hi, Lee: It's good to meet you! You're as old as you feel! LOL I'm 61, and don't consider myself as old. Perhaps, when I turn 80, then I'll be a litle bit old. When I turned 40, and needed bi-focals, the eye doctor said, "It's normal for your age!" I know he was just stating a fact, but I didn't like the way it sounded. I try to be positive about things, and not think of negative things. That helps me to feel much younger. So, don't feel badly about having to wear glasses. "It's normal for your age!" LOL (By the way, now I wear tri-focals!!) Love and peace, Blue_skies243 |
