Treatment for Carpul Tunnel:

300 mg. of B6 3x per day. To be taken with 500 mg. Glucosamine Sulphate 2x per day. For relief in one month. (For severe cases).

There is more than one type of Glucosamine. Be sure you use only the SULPHATE type.

Also do following exercise every time you take B vitamin therapy:

Swing arms in wide circles in front of your body... 3 to 5 rotations clockwise, 3 to 5 rotations counterclockwise, crossing arms in front of you, rather than both arms going in the same direction at the same time. This breaks up the calcification in shoulder joints and increases blood circulation to the wrists. This also relieves muscle strain in the neck and shoulders and is a good exercise to do if you sit in one spot (like at a computer) for long periods.

Those of us who drink coffee, other caffinated beverages, or smoke cigarettes should be taking a good sublingual (liquid) B-complex because caffeine and cigarettes leach our bodies of the B vitamins, especially b6, causing poor circulation and charlie horses and other muscle cramps. Calcium in our diets leach our bodies of magnesium, so we should be taking a magnesium supplement. Vitamin C is another fragile vitamin that needs to be taken as a supplement. And then there's the matter of anti-oxidents that USED to be provided naturally in fresh fruits and vegetables, but now you would have to eat 9 oranges to get the same nutritive value we used to get from one orange. Our body has more free radicals to fights off because of more chemical toxins in our air, water and food, and less anti-oxidents to counteract the effects of free radicals. Cut an apple or bananana open and let it sit in the air. The browning that occurs is free radicals in action.

Then there's the amount of oxygen contained in the air we breath. Our atmosphere used to contain 40% oxygen. It now contains 19%, less in big cities. It takes 12 trees to provide enough oxygen for one person to breath. Since the decrease of oxygen in our invironment cancer has been on the rise, along with other debilitating diseases. Yet rainforests are clear cut and burned to provide places to raise cattle for meat cheaply , and develope wilderness areas for human population, at an alarming rate.

Uh-oh, I'm on a soap box! Nuff said!

Hello Moongoddess and everyone,

Thanks for the information Moongoddess.

Again the caution that anything you try from here is at your own risk.

I have read extensively on B vitamins since I use them to help with my depression when I can't afford the antidepressants.  I have always read a caution about taking large amounts of vitamin B6 because at very high levels it can damage sensory nerves, leading to numbness in the hands and feet as well as difficulty walking.  I am not saying any of the conclusions drawn in what I have read are absolutes, but with alot of vitamins you have to watch that you don't overdose on them and cause further problems.

I take Glucosomine (Hydrochloride) and Chondroitin (Sulfate) with MSM for joint pain and it works by lubricating the joints and making the cartilage stronger.  It really works.. even for the fibromyalgia when I take it regularly, so it makes sense that Glucosomine will help with the pain of carpal tunnel.

Its good to see information coming in that we can discuss and try if we wish to.

Love in Light and Peace,
Winds of Change
