THE FUNNY THINGS KIDS SAY
A few weeks ago Rebekah, 5, said, "Mom, can you imagine a whole bunch of birds -- all the birds in the world?" Her mother said, "Wow, that's a lot of birds, isn't it?" Rebekah cocked her head and said, "That's how much I love you, Mom!" -- Tiffani Schreiner of Bloomington, Minnesota
Parris was sound asleep when his dad came to wake him up so that they could run an errand. "No, Daddy, go away," he told his father. Then Parris added, "I haven't finished watching my video (his dream!)." -- Joan Dineen (grandmother of Parris) of Springfield, Massachusetts
When Carson (now 9) was little they were in a parking lot and the German Shepherd in a truck near them started barking. Carson looked at his grandmother and said, "Those human shepherds sure do bark a lot!" -- Kas
Quimby (grandmother of Carson) of Elma, Washington
Here's another cute one from Kas. Weston, 4, told her that "Kermin the frog is my favorite Muffet!"
Mya, 5, doesn't like cats. She is particularly afraid of her grandmother's cat, Caesar. Grandmother and Poppy have been musing about relocating. Caesar will be given to a good home. Mya overheard the part about Caesar not relocating with her grandparents, and she worried that Caesar would be left alone, by herself. Her
grandparents assured Mya Caesar would be given to a good home. A few days later Grandmother got a call from Mya. "Gran," Mya said, "Have Poppy put Caesar on E-bay and I know someone will buy her right
away!" -- Shelia Desantis (as told to her by a friend) of West Chester, Ohio
Kate was showing her youngest daughter Kaylea a video of the sonogram done before Kaylea's birth. Becka, 5, asked, "Where's mine?" Kate replied, "I don't have one of you." To this Becka yelled, "Put me back in
and get one of me!" -- Helen Felfe(grandmother of Kaylea and Becka) of
Spicewood, Texas
Here is another one from Helen. Becka was watching a favorite TV show and it was time for her to go home. She was upset and she screamed, "But I HAVE to watch
it." (They don't have satellite TV yet.) Finally she turned to Helen and said, "Nana, will you watch it for me?"
Jacob, 3, was watching his mother play a game on the computer in which you have to collect falling water drops in a pail to win. After a few minutes of watching, he said, "Mama, are you getting the little tears?"
His mother says she needs to teach him a little more about rain drops. --
Susan Hale (mother of Jacob) of Oklahoma
