Hi Winds, Paintmare, Lee... and all who come to visit the 'front porch'.
I shoveled the walk way..sheweeie! quite a chore for this ole gal. But worth all that huffing and puffing..hehehee. I put a little de-icer on too so no one will slip. The light is on and I smell some delightful brew. It sure warms the heart. I brought some hot soup to warm ya all up, too. Some homemade Sourdough biscuits and lots of butter. And some warm apple desert.
The snow is piling up along the path but what a peaceful sight to see all the trees decorated with that beautiful fluffy stuff. 'Tis a quite time it seems.
Love and light to all, may inner peace touch all, Real

Oh yummy Real, thanks for that warm soup and the sourdough biscuits are delicious... mmmmmm  the apple dessert is just right to top off that yummy warming up meal.  Your cold weather is descending on us I think.. after 70+ temps this past week or more, I am freezing today with the temps only about 40..lol  Yeah I know, since I moved south a little ways I have such a hard time adjusting to the cold temps when they come. lol  I remember how good things smelled drifting on the air while shoveling snow and treating ice.  It seems the nice crisp air takes away the offending smells and tickles our noses with what we are cooking and the neighbors too. lol  Oh those good smells.  Even though snow does not have a distinctive smell, there is nothing like walking in snow on a nice starlit night (without the wind of course) and smelling that tingling sharp smell of cold and moisture mixed together.  It's extra nice when big flakes of snow are drifting down to add to the snow on the ground.  Ah, such nice memories, but truthfully I don't really want any snow this year.. hehehehe  Enjoy the day Real and Lee and everyone else who stops to sit on the porch with us.

Love,
Winds
