Hi Everyone, Just thought I'd come sit on Winds' Front Porch for a spell while the weather is still nice. We're into November and had 70*.... wow! We still have some colorful leaves yet. I think about taking the camera out but just never get there. I have been working 10hrs. this week (two of us) but the other gal decided to call it quits tonight on the usual 8. 'Tis okay by me...LOL... there is another day tomorrow. Hard to beleive my body hurts at sit-down jobs... LOL. I still do my 5 machine job and let me tell ya's, my legs hurt... must be time for some new shoes, by golly...hehehee. I'd rather keep moving, tho. And they say the first thing to go is the mind..LOL. I brought some vanilla honey tea.. have some, very relaxing.. and a pie...h'mmm can't think of the name but it has cream cheese and coolwhip on the bottom, canned pumkin, white chocolate instant pudding mixture on top. Or is it the other way around??? Thought I had the recipe for ya but can't find it...hehehee. There's plenty to go around. ..Maybe it's called layered Pumpkin Pie?... ..hehehehee.. Hi dear ones! So nice to see ya's on the porch. It sure is nice and compy here. Ahhhhh, so nice to sit back...stretch...creak..creak... kick off the ole shoes...ooops! maybe that was a mistake...hehehehe, I'll put them back on...  ...LOL. 'Had the oldest grandbaby last Sunday evening, bless her, she wanted to be with "you guys" grandma and grandpa...hehehe..last year we were grandmaww and grandpaww..hehehehee and when I took her home I pointed out the stars. It was a beautiful night, the heavens were bright with stars. How nice to be in the country at night time and even get to see God/Creators work at night. She grinned from ear to ear. I discovered something I didn't know. If you have an electric pressure cooker, you can brown frozen pot roast on the srove, put it in the cooker, ( had to saw off a hunk so it would fit, tho) add your veggies and vola! 45 minutes later you have a meal. I need to show daughter-in-law that one..LOL. If any one needs a recipe, just give a holler. Hubby has a lot of time on his hands and both of us see or hear about a new recipe and guess what... I have my own cook book just waiting to get organized..hehehe. Speaking of, I need to do just that through the whole house. I don't know how it got so cluttered!!!!!!!!!!  .. time, what is that anyway? Our snow is totally gone now. It is still cold at night but the days have been near 50 or 40's. Winds, after your post about noticeable differences this winter, I did see something someone else noticed in my neck of the woods, but somewhere, after some organization, I will find it...LOL. OK! I'm here on 'the porch'. Winds told me it was a great place to be.....so I brought some steaks to throw on the barbie and a pavlova for dessert........ok? Might also have an Eske with a few bottles of Champers......where are the glasses? Love Freespirit  |

Hi Everyone, It is so good to see you all out here on the porch. I will have a steak and some of the pavlova please and here is my glass , fill er up please..lol Good to see you Free.. have missed you... hope to see you more! hehehehe You can tell us about your summer while we get chilled here. lol Good to see you here too Real and Hevenluv and everyone else. Glad to hear you finally got snow you could walk in Real!!.. I know you enjoyed it so much..lol I guess that was a highlight of your winter. hehehe Recipes, huh.. I will have to ask you when I am looking for special ones.. lol Of course if you got any really good ones you like, then you could just share them..lol I hope all of you who have birthdays in Jan. have had good ones. Today is one of those days when even though the house is not truly cold I feel cold to the bone and the house has a chill on it. |

Hi everyone, I decided I would come out and sit on the sunporch and let the sun warm my bones. I brought a few afghans with me in case anyone is chilly today. Hi everyone,
I am back on the porch at least haphazardly. I am much better and hopefully my energy and strength will return soon.
I hope you are feeling better Hevenluv and are getting things worked out in the best way for you. I hope you never have to experience that again. We had a bit of snow today, but it didn't last. At least we got to see snow at least once this winter. lol Its cold here right now and I hope it warms up again soon, but if it doesn't then I guess I can live with it even if it cranks up the pain in the fibromyalgia and messes up my mind along with it. lol Right now I am searching for peace and quiet. I seem to hear every little noise around me and it is starting to get on my nerves a little.. well alot sometimes..lol I am looking for my quiet place to escape to when it is overwhelming. I imagine my problem with noise is a combination of my sinus finally clearing up more and more and also the main cause with the fibro being very active. I don't know if everyone gets the enhanced hearing along with it, but I sure have it and at times the clutter of noise coming in through my ears is terrible. Anyway.. don't mean to gripe.. just airing a little..lol I hope I find my quiet place soon. I have always thought one of those deprivation tanks sound good. lol I took a hearing test not too many years ago at the BellTone hearing place and the lady started laughing by the time I was done. I was in the soundproof booth they put you in with headphones and I had to click a button everytime I heard the tones they sent me. Well, I had been pushing the button when i heard her click the button outside to make the tones. lol She said there was nothing wrong with my hearing.. I should not have been able to hear that, so that is how it is with me and my hearing and when the fibro is active it is worse. lol My husband teases me that I can hear a car 10 miles down the road. Hi Everyone, Thought I would stop by and see what is going on. I guess everyone is absent..lol I watched a movie the other night on hmm was going to remember this.. but have to really put on my thinking cap.. It was on either the Family Channel or on Hallmark and the name of it was.."The Five People You Meet in Heaven". It was really good. I don't want to ruin it for anyone if you get to see it, but it is about a man who dies and is visited by 5 people in different places he is taken. I really enjoyed it even though it made me a little teary-eyed at times, but I just kept my tissues close and wiped my eyes and nose and kept watching. I didn't get to see the first of it, because I forgot it was on, but the story unfolded in the rest of the movie so that was okay I think. lol I would like to see it again, but am not sure if they will show it again. If any of you find it on, let me know please. I truly hope you get to see it if you haven't already. Well, I guess I will get going.. am tired after having to go to town today and think I will go to bed earlier than usual tonight. Hi Winds, I think I read or saw the movie, "The Five People You Meet In Heaven". Isn't it awesome? I really liked it and it was well done. Hi Real, Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. lol I am in one of those funky type situations with life right now where I jumble everything up and never have time to get it all done. lol Oh well, maybe I need some Spring Tonic or something to set me on the straight and narrow. lol Yes, that movie was great. I am looking forward to watching "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" tomorrow night. I have read part of the book and loved it and have seen the beginning scenes in the movie and can't wait to see it. It will give me a good laugh I am sure. I like the lively comical movies that are dreamed up and childlike. Well, I need to go for the moment, but hope you are all waiting eagerly for the first day of Spring monday. lol It was pretty nice here today. We went to visit Phoenix's stepfather who is in a retirement home and the weather was pleasantly not too cold and not too hot. It was nice to get out and enjoy the long drive there and back. I love to ride and look at the scenery. oops.. guess the jabberwocky got ahold of me and I forgot I have to go. lol Looking forward to seeing you all on the frontporch soon so we can all catch up.
