Hi Everyone, It was in the 80's here today, so I thought maybe we should step out onto the frontporch and enjoy the warmth of the sun and the fresh air. I have missed hearing what is happening with all of you, so come on up on the porch and chat awhile. We looked in the garden department in Walmart today and the beautiful colors of the flowers were wonderful. The petunias they have in are all in soft colors and so pretty together so we got some of those and a few other flowers to compliment their colors for the pots we have in the front yard near the road. I am looking forward to spending more time outside, so I might not be found around as much while I can get out and enjoy the weather. Of course it is going to drop back down into the 60s tomorrow, so that nice warm spell only lasted a couple of days. I will be looking forward to it coming around again soon! Well, I had better get going, but wanted to touch base with everyone and see how you are. Love ya all, Winds |

Hi ya Winds, that front porch looks beautiful. So restful here. We had low 70's today, but it cools down some at night and then the ole furnace gets booted on..hehehehe. I came home from work and everyone was kinda warm. Not so sure I am really ready for that WARM weather just yet. But it does feel good. The flowers have really grown. 'Saw a rainbow this evening. What a beautiful sight that is. Love to you and yours and every one here. Real |

Thats such a lovely porch to sit on, it's 41F today at 08.35am on Wedonesday Morning in the UK. It was similar temps yesterday. Besides that the sun is out and the sky is blue. Just a little cooler than it is for you. |

Hi Real, Lee and everyone, Good to see you both on the porch. I hope it warms up for both of you soon. It is supposed to be in the 80s here the rest of the week, but rain everyday, so I hope it doesn't get too bad here..lol Phoenix has been putting flowers in the pots and planters we have in various places in the frontyard so our place looks nice when the visitors start coming past for Virginia's Garden Week.. to see the gardens at the main house. It is so nice to feel the warmth of the sun again. I am glad you like the porch.. I was looking for pictures of one to sit on in here and found this one.. it reminds me of summer and things like the fourth of July Celebrations and Memorial Day. It took me back to the parades and festivals they have back home those times of the year. I love festivals even though I can't attend them much anymore, because I can't walk right now like I would like. lol I am hoping we will be able to find some around here this year to go to.. even if we can just stay a short time it would be nice to see the people and what they have available at the festivals. They have a festival in Clinton, Indiana I always liked to go to.. the food was wonderful. It is community with a high population of Italian people so they have a "Little Italy Festival" every year. The goodies to eat are fabulous.. they have slices of Italian Cream Cake and rosettes made fresh and much much more. I used to love to go there and maybe pick up some cheeses and bread to take home and eat while I was there of course..lol they also give gondola rides on the wabash river if it is not up too high during that time. That is just one of the many festivals that were close around where I grew up. So, if I can't get to any this year here.. I will just relive the ones back in Illinois and Indiana in my mind..lol the mind is a wonderful thing to ramble through at times and remember the tastes, sights and smells of places I go. Ah well, enough of my memory lane trip. lol I hope all of you are anticipating the warm season as much as me. I am trying to convince myself this is going to be a good summer. hehehehe Love ya all, Winds |

Hi Winds and everyone, Wow that's a beautiful front porch and we are so patriotic being ready for the 4th of July and everything. I have dibs on the hammock for the entire summer . Nanynanybooboo... I wonder if Winds could 'hunt' for mushrooms in the woods on the side of the porch? Why do you have to hunt them are they hiding? hahaha... just teasing you a bit dear Winds. Well, it's probably about 80 out there today here in South Georgia and dear hubby is out there mowing the lawn for the first time this year. It's lovely out there. I'm on the inside looking out because all those little teenie grass clippings are floating through the air. Along with the feathery Pompas (sp?) grass. I love the scent of them, but they mess with my sinus'. The roses are falling over there are so many red roses and my Elephant ears are growing like crazy. It's so nice here on the hammock that I think I'll just go ahead and doze off for a few ... talk with you all later. Love in light and peace, Dearheart |

Hi everyone..... So good to see you Dearheart! How's ya been, sweets? Last week end was unseasonably WARM...hehehehee. A few people had a flu bug or something going around. I was totally tired, wooped....and slept a lot and hurt all over. Had bouts of chills. Saturday we/I smoked chicken, turkey and ham and some cheese. (No rest for the wicked..LOL) The foods were good, but lordy-loo! an all dayer type thing. We had lots of rain Sunday. Some areas were on tornadoe watch. The tulips and a 'bleeding heart' plant grew a foot and bloomed over those three days. Awesome! Now today, the temps are more normal, down into the fifties earlier and our furnace kicked in. I look out over Winds porch and see the green grass...eeecks! Will that john boy be available to mow?.. or do I need to call upon his brothers..h'm. now what's there names..... james????? ..oh, oh. I forgot.... .. LOL. Take care, love and ((hugs)) to all, Real |
