Dear AROL Family,
I do believe we get messages from all things around us and it is up to us to notice them and figure them out for the most part. Sometimes they are very subtle and other times they jump right out at us, so we must always be attuned to all that is around us.
In my lifetime, I have had many experiences with messages being delivered in some odd ways and some very apparent ways. Sometimes I don't catch on until after the fact and sometimes I catch on before the fact. I believe this happens, because at times I am not to interfere in any way, but to be there for someone after whatever happens and at other times I know things in order to give a person a message and it is up to them if they wish to avoid the thing I tell them to or not. When delivering a message to someone it is always up to them if they wish to accept it and avoid what will happen or to go ahead and go through what comes to them.
An example of giving a message and someone not paying it heed is a time when my ex husband and I raised and showed horses. He rode in alot of the game classes and on this particular day it was the mailbag race, which involves two horses. One person starts out running their horse around the ring carrying an object that they pass to the waiting horse and rider when the get to them and the other horse takes off running around the ring and when they reach the designated place it ends the time is announced it took both of them to make the run to find out which team wins. Well, I had a feeling that my ex husband should not ride in that event that day and went out to tell him to scratch his entry, because he was going to be hurt if he rode. He ignored me, because he didn't believe in things like that.. so he rode. As his horse came around the last turn in the ring before he handed off the object to the other rider, the other horse wheeled sideways and stuck its rear right in the path of my ex and his horse. His horse collided with the other one and his horse went down and rolled over on him catching him in the chest with the saddle horn and knocked him out for a short time. He was okay and so was the horse, but after that he was a little more attentive if I told him something I felt or knew. Those types of things come to me with a process I can't explain, but when I am to warn someone it is strong and comes in plenty of time to warn them. I just know who and approximately what will happen.
Another example of getting messages was when I was going through a rough time as I was getting my divorce and getting ready to leave the state and move to where I am now. I slept on the couch in the livingroom, because I didn't have the money to get out and live somewhere else, so it was a tense time and a fearful time. I loved the land I lived on there surrounded on oneside and behind by huge old oak trees that soared up into the sky. I also felt the animals around there and they knew me. I took a walk around the property one day knowing that soon I would leave and wanted to just more or less say goodbye.. it surprised me in a way that the land and the animals and all of the trees and the plants and what I called the watchers told me goodbye.. that it was time for me to leave and that the place was no longer where I should be. It was no longer my home and to leave. The house echoed this to me too with its creakings and moanings after the land told me it was time to leave. There were owls in the woods across the road where the lake was and in the mornings when I went out to just breath in the air and feel the sun on my face one started hooting at me everyday and it took me awhile to realize when it did this and why. Finally after a few days of this another joined in with it and a third joined in with hooting at me in the mornings just as I was out on the porch. I noticed when the third one joined in that they were telling me to leave or I would die. I know that sounds rather dramatic, but my ex husband was walking across the yard when the third one joined in and they all hooted and hooted telling me I had to go soon. Finally when all things were in place and I was to leave within a few days, I woke up one morning when the crows cawed letting me know that my ex was moving around like they always did, I walked out on the porch and into the sun and I saw that the whole frontyard and the front pasture and the front of the side pasture were filled with robins.. there were so many they covered the grass and I could barely see a space between them. When I came out on the porch, they didn't fly away, they stopped and looked at me and just sat there looking. A feeling of calm and happiness came over me and I knew then that I was doing the right thing and that I would be okay. It was the most beautiful site I had ever seen.
I have lots more stories of things that have happened, but just wanted to give you some examples of how everything around us gives us messages, it is up to us to see them and understand.
