Dear AROL Family,
I believe in prophecies. Alot of times they are confusing and hard to understand so it takes awhile to understand if they have already happened or are a prediction of what is to come. All peoples of the Earth, I believe, have prophecies in their knowledge passed down throughout generations. Prophecies are predictions of a sort or warnings of things to come. Some of the prophecies that I have read pertain to things that have already happened, but they were given to the person or people before the subject of the prophecy took place. In my experience, when prophecies come to people they are usually the ones who come into contact with alot of people so the word of the prophecy can be spread to those who need to know ahead of time. Often I have seen prophecies that were given to several people at the same time of the same events and contained the same information. Those to me seem to confirm each giving of the prophecy to people.
Prophecies seem to be the additions to traditional teachings of the groups of people they are meant for and are given to those people through those who seem to be chosen for the honor of giving them to those of their same traditions. Some prophecies, seem to be for everyone though or can at least lend a hand in understanding what is happening around us and what is coming.
Prophecies cover such a vast amount of knowledge and faith traditions that it is hard at times to understand what they mean, so we have to pray or meditate on the words and find the meanings and the truth in them.
Sometimes, though we don't like to know it or believe it, prophecies are faked to get attention or notoriety or just to play a bad joke on others. I feel if we really pay close attention to any prophecies that come our way, then we can pray, use our senses, look at what we know about truth and find the answer to whether it is a true prophecy or a fake one.
I do believe that prophecies are for a purpose, to inform of how things are going to be or how they can be if we don't change certain things. Some, though in my opinion, mean what they say and won't be changed completely no matter how hard we try to change them. The thing about those is that we might not exactly understand the meaning of what it is saying and it might come out differently than what we interpret it to say.
