I've been back and forth at all hours to watch my niece & nephew as my sister has been rushed to the hospital twice in 3 days. The hospital thought at first that she had contracted a flu-like virus called the Norfolk virus which should have run its course in 60 hours... whatever it is has gotten steadily worse and I was called in the early dawn hours to come over for the kids as she needed to be taken back in. We are extremely worried at this point, so I'm just dropping a line in hopes that you will wish us a healing thought for my sister and her family. Blessings, Red |

Thanks Leila ... about 2 weeks ago S started complaining about a sharp pain in her stomach, then a week ago it was bad enough to call the doctor, by Thursday I got a midnight call to come watch the kids as she was taken to the hospital... the pain had reached a point where it was so intense she was vomiting from it and doubled over, unable to stand. The hospital gave her a needle to relax her torso and sent her home saying she may have a virus called Norfolk ... well apparently once the drugs wore off she was worse. By Sunday I was called back in the early morning hours. It came to light that she is bleeding internally as well... the doctors have run test after test and can not figure out what is happening to her. She is in isolation as we speak and is set up for invasive testing tomorrow, the fear is that the internal bleeding is coming through her intestines and may cause infections. So I have taken on childminding of all the kids as her mate and mom do the hospital runs ... I am sooo very concerned and hope the hospital will make headway on this... I hate not knowing!! Your healing thoughts are appreciated... I just want her to come through this swiftly and without any more pain. Blessings, Red |

Hi Red,
Your sister continues to be
in my prayers. Has there been any news since the beginning of the
week? How is she doing? How are you doing?
Healing and
strength,

Hi, I just got home and am exhausted... went over to S's house right after school yesterday to watch all the kids while her mate went to work, spent the night and watched the kids from 6 til 2 today. My house is silent and I think I may catch a nap, my nephew is very high maintenace. S is still in the hospital and confined to isolation, the doctors don't yet understand what is wrong... she still can't keep anything in her system and looks grey, despite the powerful medicines pumping through her. We are hopeing for the best for Monday, but its no sure thing since they have done a new battery of tests and are awaiting the results. Thanks for the kind thoughts, we're all running a bit ragged over here. Blessings. Red |
