Today's thought

from

Bible Friend.

Nov 8.

...

(Psa 52:8) But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

(Psa 52:9) I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

...

God bless you!

We who are called "the green olive tree" are spiritually vigoruous and full of spiritual vitality. Our roots are firm in the good soil and that is why we are able to trust in the Lord and thereby trusting Him we are able to praise and worship Him.

Our life's blood isn't because of anything we have done or accomplished but because we are grafted into the branch! We gain our nourishment or strength all from the Lord and that is why we are strong. The Olive tree is one of strength and it's fruit is plentiful and that is why we are able to flourish in His mercy.

There is so much great symbolism here and it applies to All of God's children today as well in the days of King David! What great pictures these verses conjure up to the imagination!!!

Thanks for sharing Brother Dalfrath!! God bless!!
