It might be good for someone who has a cockatoo or grey and has problems with their dust. So check it out and tell me what you think! Nan |

Well, even though I am an old lady with a bad back, I think I will continue to bend over, whining all the while, and yank those papers out all by myself. Really, though, could slime and mold start to form with a constant source of water? I am thinking about how fast the mold grows in birdbaths and on concrete when it's humid outdoors. What do you think? Annie |

That set-up looks like it would be useful for dusty birds, but I can see the potential for it to get toxic really quick if it wasn't maintained continuously. For the price of that thing you could probably hire a neighbor's kid to clean the entire cage for a year, if not longer. Megan, my daughter felt the same way you do about ever finding a job--drove me nuts when she was 16. Employers know that you don't have any work experience at that age, they make allowences. Gina got a job working Saturdays in a camera shop (I spent about as much $$$ on gas getting her and a friend to/from work as she made) and then at 17 (and driving her own car) she got a job working at the local mall. At 24, my fuscia-haired daughter is now a full-time assistant manager for the retail store she works at, and has been told to start thinking about managing her own store. You can do it, just have to believe in yourself and get over those "nobody will hire me" thoughts. |

My granddaughter got a job at 16 working in a Dollar General store. She's been there for more than a year. And she likes it!! She mainly a checker but will stock if they ask her to. She's really easy going and easy to get along with. Annie |

If I had one, Wosie and Lolly would be drinking out of it.....but I can see how it would work well for people who has severe allergies to danader. di |

Hey for the 1,500.00 I could hire the eighborhood kid to clean ALL my cages for a while! It does mention this about the bacteria *Waste and allergens are contained and moved within the water to a convenient location to be emptied daily Non-porous surface prohibits bacterial growth* So you are still cleaning daily anyway. Maybe when they come up with a flushable version Ill buy it!!! |

But, have you ever had a small fountain in your house? I have had three. They get slimy in a couple of days and stink in a few more days. They recirculate the water and maybe this thing doesn't do that. Is it hooked up to a fresh water supply? Also the fountain I had in the birdroom at our old house collected dander and got even worse than the ones we've had in this house--away from the birds. May work well, but I is suspicious. Annie |

Who ever invented that doesn't own dogs. Or small kids! My dogs would be in the water all the time. They probably don't let there birds out to climb on the cage either. That would look like a good place to take a bath for a bird. Then if they made it flushable. I could just see a bird climbing on the outside learning to flush it. Everybody would be posting how do you get your bird not to flush it. Some smart birds out there. Indy |

Ok, 2' X 2' is $300 something, but 3' X 3' is 1500? I don't get it! Even if I won the lottery, I don't think this is the cage I'd pick. The grate, the bars, etc. still have to be cleaned, so what time are you saving? Once a day roll up the newspaper and throw some more down... so that's what? A couple minutes' time? Not to mention I think that thing would get slimey and gross even with the "solid surface to prevent bacterial growth", so that would be more cleaning. The first sign of a sick bird is a change in droppings, right? Well, how can you tell if they're different if they're being swished around in a tub of water? With all the food that Eevie slings, surely I would clog and burn out the motor in one of those things in a heartbeat. No, I think if I won the lottery and had that kind of money, I'd get a "cage by design" cage with the clear front door so I can see my babies with no lines (bars) in the way. |
