I just thought I'd like to hear who were your favorite generals and why. Mine has always been John Bell Hood. I don't think the Confederacy had a better commander up to and including the division level. TinCan Your #7 At the end of WW2 we were fighting Communist armed supporters, not large enough to be labelled as formal partisan movements in France, (a whole Army in Greece), Italy, the Balkans. We weren't in Spain. Spain post-war was a good ally. Didn't they help fish the Thresher out? And after the Civil war, Spain did not join the Axis. Except the Blue Division. Cheers Francophile Flash |
