Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies These could be even lower with chocolate chips, but I was in a butterscotch mood and the butterscotch chips have more sodium the chocolate. So were our dogs it seems. They can hear and recognize the sound of the cookie jar lid from two rooms away even if they are sound asleep. We made these cookies for Christmas gifts a few years ago, layering everything except the margarine, egg and vanilla in a quart jar. 1 c Sugar 1 c Brown Sugar 2 c Flour 1/2 t Sodium Free Baking Soda 1/2 t Nutmeg 1/2 t Cinnamon 1/4 c Unsalted Margarine 1/4 c Egg Substitute 1/2 t Vanilla 1 c Quick Cooking Oats 6 oz Butterscotch Chips Cream together margarine, egg and vanilla.
