...be your e-mail settings or security system that may be putting our message to you into your bulk or spam folders.

Some programs need to recognize an e-mail sender before the message is allowed to be put into the recipient's inbox.  We respond to new applicants within a couple of days, almost always within twenty-four hours, so, if you haven't received a message from us in a timely manner, you might want to check your other e-mail folders.

I mention this because we have had a couple of really interesting applicants in the past month who have not written back to us.  I will periodically bump this message.  As some of you know, we really, really hate to miss the opportunity to connect with a genuine SOMer!

Not our preferred style, but it seems that we should be coaching you to check that your protection systems(s) haven't put our reply to your application someplace weird.

Puhleeeeeeez, check the bulk and spam folders in the e-mail address that you used when you applied to our support group.  Our contact message to you might be languishing in one of them.  When you find it, write back so that you can join the fun.

This isn't what anyone could call a riotous group  Riotous...hmmm.  Yes, it is clear that you cannot call us that.

Nor loud.
Nor conspicuous.
Nor unrestrained.
Nor are we involved in or taking part in serious public unrest.
Can't really call us...
Disorderly
Unruly
Uncontrolled
Uncontained
Revolutionary, well, alright, we are a bit revolutionary
Wild
Out of control
Intemperate
Immoderate
Rowdy, again, probably not worth denying.

But we do have lots of information and support, just waiting for you.

Anyway, the two of you who have applied and have not yet replied feel like 'missing parts', and we are hoping to hear from you very soon.

Gosh, there are still a couple of applicants from whom we have not received a reply.
Gosh, we know that you are busy with the rest of your life.
Gosh, I suppose that your twitching has subsided a bit, and that you are feeling better.
Gosh, don't forget that we are still here...ready and willing to welcome you when you feel that you just cannot live without us any longer.

Friends, Wonkettes, Twitchers...you're probably wondering why I have gathered all of you here, together.

Well, it seems that a couple of applicants haven't responded to our messages to them.  Do you think that they forgot to check their firewall or security systems to see if our messages were deflected into some obscure folder?  Do you think that they changed their minds about joining our shimmery little group?  Are they napping?  Taking a vacation?  Did their computers spring a leak and all the consonants dribbled out onto the floor?  If they don't write back, we'll never know!!!!  Oh, dear, how tragic, the humanity, the humanity!

Our dragon is back, and he has a sad story to share.
His puppy is sad, too.

No, not as in
hidden,
but as in
secure
and
reliable
information
about
your
SOM.

Reply to our e-mail to you.
Go on.
You know you want to.
And, one more thing.
Applicant B..., we waited two months to hear
from you.
We are still interested in you, so
reply if you are, too.

 April
showers
bring
May
flowers,
but
they
haven't
brought you!

We wrote to you within hours of your application to join our twitchy little group.

But, we haven't heard back from you!

So...

Check the e-mail account you used when you applied to join us.
Check your spam and bulk folders in case your security system diverted our message to you.

Then...

Write back so that you can join in the fun!  Well, to be perfectly honest, this is a very quiet group, and I'm not sure what your idea of fun might be, but we are extraordinarily pleasant and helpful, albeit a bit dull at times.  That doesn't mean that you won't like it.  I mean, you applied and everything.

So, write back.  We're waiting to hear from you!

Once you apply here, the process kind of comes to a grinding halt if you don't check the e-mail address that you used in your application.

So, check that e-mail address...

...check your spam and bulk mail folders, in case our message to you was diverted there...
...write back  in response to that contact message from us.

  Hey!
We need a reply from you.  You know, you wrote to us, applied to the group, we wrote back to you.

But, then...we never heard back from you.

What happened?

Check your e-mail account, you know, the one you referenced when you tried to join up here.  Make sure that our reply to your application didn't get shifted off into some other folder or box or something.

If there isn't a single message from us (and we have sent you at least three already), then you might have mis-typed your e-mail address in your application.

If you think that happened...
or
you no longer are using, for whatever reason, that particular e-mail account
or
you cannot get into that particular e-mail account,
then
just reapply and we'll get you twitching along with the rest of us.

However, if you had an emergency transfer toTransmatazuntogoliawolds and there isn't any Internet service there, keep us in mind and reapply when you get back home.
