I bought a 1982 magazine called "Who's Who in Daytime TV" on eBay.  Kind of interesting seeing who is still around.  This is the cast list.  I've included descriptions of the ones who are still on the show:

  • Jay Acovone as Cliff Matson
  • Patricia Bruder as Ellen Stewart Born in Brooklyn, Pat is a former child radio actress.  She wed her high school sweetheart, obstetrician-gynecologist Charles Debrovner.  They have two daughters, Carolyn and Diane.  This happy family resides in Manhattan.
  • Larry Bryggman as Dr. John Dixon - California-born Larry is a graduate of San Francisco City College.  Over the years he's developed into one of New York's most respected stage actors.  Larry and his estranged wife, Barbara, have two sons, Michael and Jeff.  At the moment he's dating his ATWT co-star, Jacqueline Shultz.
  • Margaret Colin as Margo Montgomery
  • Linda Dano as Cynthia Haines
  • Justin Deas as Tom Hughes
  • Lisa Denton as Betsy Stewart
  • Michael forest as Nick Andropolous
  • Henderson Forsythe as Dr. David Stewart
  • Eileen Fulton as Lisa Colman - Talented Eileen has appeared in nightclubs, on concert stages, and has even cut an album.  She was born in Asheville, NC, a minister's daughter, and has been with ATWT for over 20 years.  Her latest single is "The Doggy Bag Song."
  • Don Hastings as Dr. Bob Hughes - Don's been in show biz since the age of seven.  Born in New York, he was once on the popular science fiction program, Captain Video.  Don has three children from his first marriage.  Last year, he wed former ATWT co-star Leslie Denniston.
  • Kathryn Hays as Kim Andropolous - Born in Joliet, Ill, Kathy is a former Hollywood film star and fashion model.  Divorced, she has a daughter, Sherri.
  • Anthony Herrera as James Stenbeck - Tony, a native of Wiggins, ILL, is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he majored in Zoology and English Lit.  He's currently writing a screenplay called "Hands on the Wheel."  He appeared on Y&R.

  • A mistrial was declared at the Dixon vs. Dixon rape trial when Dee admitted she had sexually encouraged John, believing he was brad, her secret love.
  • While Lyla testified in Dee's behalf, the truth about Margo's parentage came to light.  John Dixon was actually Margo's father.
  • Soon after, John Dixon was run down by a car.  He temporarily went blind, and Margo rushed to his side to care for him.  David Stewart, a suspect, left town.  He had convinced himself that he had killed John, and in the process suffered amnesia from the guilt.
  • Thinking he was Donald Saunders, David met lovely Cynthia Haines and her daughter Karen.  Not knowing his past, he began a romance with her.  But, on a trip to Oakdale, John Dixon spots David and tells Ellen, his wife.  Under truth serum, and with John's "care," David slowly regains his memory and returns to his wife, but he still has feelings for Cynthia.  John, instigating, advises Cynthia to fight for the man she loves.
  • When Annie, Dee's sister, learns of the love affair between Dee and her husband Brad, she immediately divorced him.  All of the stress and strain has serious repercussions on the child she's carrying, as a surrogatemother for Carol and Steve Andropolous, and Annie suffers a miscarriage.
  • James, bored with his marriage to Barbara, has a fling with Margo.  He sets her up in a beautiful home, and gifts her with many expensive presents.  Then, he tires of Margo, too, and once again, continues his marriage with Barbara none the wiser.
  • Cody Sullivan, film producer and Jeff's half brother, comes to Oakdale.  He offers Cricket Montgomery a chance at fame, promising to "make her a star."  Cricket falls for his line, and goes off on a star trip.  Sadly, though, Cody left town when he found out Cricket was pregnant with his child.  Hurt at first, Cricket rallies back and while at her job at Lisa and Barbara's dress shop, she meets Ernie Ross.  Ernie at once is hooked.  He professes his love for Cricket and wants to care for her coming child.
  • After Andrea, Nick's former wife, who did everything in her power to put a wrench in their romance, leaves, Nick and Kim are finally wed.  Although they are happy, Nick's old fashioned ways are creating trouble for the newlyweds.
  • Nick's brother Steve convinces Carol to marry him.  Their happiness is short-lived when Steve becomes involved with James' smuggling operation.  In order to save Carol's life, he tells her there's another woman, causing their separation. Some of Daytime's Most Popular Couples:  Bob and Lisa Hughes.  Lisa (Eileen Fulton) spotted young medical student Bob Hughes (Don Hastings) and set her cap for him.  Although his parents forbade him to get involved with her, Bob went ahead and eloped with Lisa much to his parents' dismay.  Life wasn't a bowl of cherries for Lisa.  A baby, Tom, followed and she couldn't cope with married life.  One day Lisa left Oakdale.  After many disasters Lisa returned and pleaded forgiveness.  But it was too late for Bob and Lisa.

1981 Daytime Emmy Awards:  Larry Bryggman was nominated for Daytime Actor; Justin Deas (Tom Hughes) was nominated for Daytime Supporting Actor...neither won.
