4th quarter waning moon, one hour before the ending of civil twilight, either outdoors or in front of an open window.

  • Cover a small table with a black cloth.
  • Light a black container candle and set it in the center.
  • In a HEATPROOF censor, burn a Frankincense Incense cone or
  • Frankincense
  • Tear over a self-igniting charcoal block.
  • piece of white paper, using black ink, write down a pattern of behavior you feel you are having trouble changing.
Concentrate only on this one thing, WITHOUT blame or judgement to self or others.
Simply state what you would like to change on the paper and in your mind.
Write and concentrate until the entire paper is completely covered on both sides.

Begin chanting "By the power of three times three,
I banish these things from me."

  • Take the Hematite from the water and allow three drops of water to fall on the center of the paper, making the ink run.
  • Pass the paper over the smoke of the incense three times in a clockwise motion.
  • Now take the paper and dip its corner into the flames of the candle.
  • Place it in a heatproof container until it burns to ashes, still chanting the above.
  • When it has completely burned to ashes and you are sure it is cool; say three times:
"Blow wind blow,
Blow a path for me.
Blow wind blow,
I release negativity."
Blow the ashes to the wind.
Snuff out the candle, let the incense burn out.

  • Repeat this every night until the new moon.
  • On twilight of the new moon, bury what remains of the candle and the
    Hematite under an evergreen tree.
