| Can  you believe another month has passed by and my house still looks a wreck.... For one thing I can't come up with a colour to paint the walls.... wanted white, saw a sample on the wall and from there I have 7 little cans of paint and non suit my fancy... And all seven would in price have bought a gallon of the VERY best on the market...     This weekend it said it could rain.... fingers crossed....     I like this pix of Di's garden and this way I can keep an eye of her (she's wearing the shades) and it wouldn't surprise me if she tried to dunk Don. He's a tad too close to the Jet Stream..     My birds area all happy and content in their room and what a difference when the sun is behind a cloud... it isn't as bright back there and they're confused as to what rime it is... It looks more like 5 or 6 AM.... maybe it will stay this way all day....lol |

Love that picture!!!  Just seeing Cooper in that pose brings on the giggles!  I can almost hear him!!  And the fact that you would share that beautiful quilt with him - you are the best bird mommy!  Not to mention, a talented one!    *HUGS* Crystal     |

Here's  more of that quilt.  I started it 4 years ago, and have just been plodding along until I could figure out what size I wanted to make it.    It will have a border pieced from 2" squares in the mixed prints, and white (like a checkerboard) and strips of dark teal on each side of that strip.  It'll end up 88" x 88".  I like it even more than I thought I would!  I'll probably make another one or two, eventually, in different types of colors.       |

Oh I SO wish I had talent like that! I have a quilt top that one of my grandmothers made befor she passed away, and I've always wanted it finished, but haven't a clue on how to do it. I can tell you how to do many things, but sewing is not in the list!    |

Sherri, that is absolutely amazing!  Very beautiful color combo's!  And I really like that little guy with the squares that's sticking out from under the big one!    Thanks for sharing! The sun is starting to peek up and I can see why the weatherguy said we are under flash flood warnings.....the clouds are really dark over the horizon and my mountain looks a little weird this morning... Crystal, your bad weather looks so different from my bad weather. Here is a sample of our clouds during bad weather.  They turn to a solid black mass. That is when it's scary. Annie |

I think that Oklahoma has ominous looking clouds especially if they are black and dark green.... |

Gosh I cut myself off and I had more to say...     I finally ordered enough bowls of the stainless steel as they were on sale on the Dr's web site so now I can get rid of the hard gray plastic locking crocks that mine destroyed the lock when they destroyed the arm that held the lock...     I went overboard, but I'll have enough to keep up with not washing bowls twice a day...my dishwasher as is has to hold 32 bowls, well Magnolia has large ceramic crocks so those four take up a lot of space...     Yeah.... out with the old, in with the new |

I have found that the Corning cereal bowls I use for Diana are easier to clean than Murphy's stainless bowls. I drop Diana's into a tiny bit larger bird crock that came with the cage. The Corning sits just higher than the rim of the crock. The crock is a little too deep for her to get the soft food easily. Then when I remove the Corning bowl I can put her Nutriberry and almonds in the crock. She can grasp those easily. Annie |

Very nice Crystal so we know where the kid gets his talent!     Winds have been gusty all day long and from what the TV says we have between 8 and 10 thousand New Orlean'ns here at the Civic Centre...     I had to take the hanging toys down in the flight, move the plants to the north side and all the lawn furniture tied down..     What I have noticed today as have the neighbours...     THERE ARE NO BIRDS AROUND!! Haven't been all afternoon although the squirrels were out this evening eating the left overs from my flock.... |
