These photos are taken at my former home area at the 60´s, Linnégatan and the surroundings. I have always been fascinated by the look of the roofs, the windows and the balconies. I always wonder what is hiding behind the decorated fronts and the gateways.

This street was always decorated by red roses at the front. The name of the street is Rosengatan meaning the Rose Street.

I feel like breaking my neck of curiousity. What are those attics storing from the past?

Back down on Linnégatan. The traffic is low maybe because it was a hot day and most of the Swedes have gone for their summer vacations. Remember Sweden is closed during July for vacations. Odd.

Sorry, I hit the send button too soon.

This is the street where I lived during the 60`. It was a very small room, not an apartment, not a flat, just an old fashioned living place called "spisrum" meaning a room with a fireplace. It had not even the fireplace left. Today the blocks are rebuilt and elegant. I could never afford the rent here. Times have changed.

I can't for my life remember what this tower is. Maybe a church? One day I will break my neck by gazing up to the roofs...

Quite close to the area, just a few minutes away there is a hill where you can see this tower, Skansens Krona built between 1687 and 1700 as a watch tower to guard against the Danes. Today it is a military museum.

It is worth the effort to climb up there. You will see far away to all directions over all the growing city of Gothenburg.

This can't be the Skansens krona... People actually live here.

Now we are getting closer. Maybe there are eyes watching from the fort. Do I need a pass word?

This is the gate I have to go through. Now, what is that pass word again?

I turned around and had this panorama on the big growing city. You can see the arena of Ullevi where Bruce Springsteen use to have his performances. Years ago he rocked the arena to a ruin. Now it is restored and can stand any decibels and rocking fans. Mr. Springsteen is forgiven and he had another performance a couple of years ago.

It´s crowdy down there but behind all the buildings you can see endless forests. I hope you enjoyed my little guiding.
