Just for the record, recently we pulled past 300 members - congratulations people !!!

I estimate that 'on average' the school could not have had more than 30 people per Class Year for 40 years (30 x 40 = 1200). If this inflated figure was true we have ca 25% of all people that ever went to the school ... sounds wrong !!!

If you would like to add to the testmonial page hit the link.

If you want to say a few word about Mr David Peaster the add them to this message: Tribute to Dave Peaster

If suitable, I'll post these messages on a new page to my unofficial web site !

I've worked out that in the next 2 years this site will have more members than pupils who went to Quantock. Well done Blakey !!!

Anyone got any ideas ....

Recently we have had a drying up of new members (it has been nearly a month since our latest recruit) ... over the previous 6 months we have had  people joining the site at a rate of  nearly 1 a day and the slowest before that was once a week - the only other time it was this slower than it is now  was when we were suddenly no longer listed on the big search engines !!

Maybe my "unofficial website" is too slow and people are getting bored before they join - any ideas please,

Mike

It seems people have contact with people through other channels such as good old talking etc etc.  Maybe we should try and get people to nag their friends to join the community.  Saying that, alot of people still do not have access to internet and hence are not joining.....can you believe it ?!?!?

You could always offer a cash incentive to all current members.  For a fee of £25 per head I'll find you plenty of old pupils.  Do they have to be from Quantock or can they pretend ?!?

Must say, going back to the original message on this string I think it would be nice if the the people that are actually registered were a little more active.  That way we would not have to worry too much about the slow down in recruits, which lets face it is inevitable.

You can pay me a cash advance on the 13th if you are coming to the reunion !!

s'laters,

Nathan.

Mike,

I know that some people coming to the reunion are not memebers, not sure why but I will ask and see if I can get some more members up on the site after the 13th.

I don't think the site is slow, infact I find it both informative and, when the topic is right, a fast paced source of conversation.

Marcus.

Mike,
I use freeserve anytime now costing 13.99 per month, gives me unlimited use of the internet.

Nathan,
All money paid out must be cheques made payable to L.M.Booth, cash may be handed in to me at the Clock Tower.

Marcus,
You forgot to add: Laurie's a twisting, scheming, lying charlatan.
Conniving, wangling, poll jumping twister.
He's an outright shyster, who'd fix any deal, run down any opposition, tip the polls, hoodwink the public, stifle any man who had the guts to expose him ...

And you wonder why the Lurkers don't bother joining in.
