intense_female : you know Czech is in Germany

 Laurelovely01 : yes

intense_female : I wonder if there is trouble with the lines or time

Laurelovely01 : I dunno...I just cant imagine he would be late

 CzechWoods has joined the conversation.

 Whispering_Moon® : lmao

 Laurelovely01 : bingo!

 CzechWoods : Namaste

 intense_female : HURAY !

 Laurelovely01 : welcome Czech

 intense_female : namaste Czech

Laurelovely01 : how are you today Czech?

CzechWoods : wow what a welcome
CzechWoods : Laura, i am soooo excited, its like X-mas , was really looking fwd to this opportunity
CzechWoods : Intense, finelly we meet in "person"
CzechWoods : ok, i guess we can start the chat - or shall we wait some more ?

 intense_female : we can start

CzechWoods : OK, so starting with the basics - What is meditation ?
CzechWoods : meditation, is connecting to the ALL, ALL aka gods, or higher self, true self, inner wisdom, genes wisdom…many names - same pool
CzechWoods : Is meditation = boredom. ?

 Whispering_Moon® : lol

CzechWoods : yes. in the beginnings its boring, annoying and very tough
CzechWoods : once you have found your natural flow it becomes an addiction, a must, an absolute need
CzechWoods : I have to clearify, that i am not teaching meditations in the Eastern traditions
CzechWoods : lol intense
CzechWoods : I am teaching meditations in European ancient context
CzechWoods : basic difference: when you fall asleep while meditating, its a failure with Eastern traditions
CzechWoods : in the traditions I teach (European ancient) - its a bliss, if you fall asleep during meditation, it shows you can relax. it shows you can connect, but not in wake state of mind yet no need to rush
CzechWoods : in the traditions I teach (European ancient) - its a bliss, if you fall asleep during meditation, it shows you can relax. it shows you can connect, but not in wake state of mind yet no need to rush
CzechWoods : now, another FAQ to answer is: HOW do I start
meditating
CzechWoods : answer: depends on you mainly. there are thousands of techniques, for the absolute beginner, I recommend you learn to breath - first
CzechWoods : do you know how to breath ?

Whispering_Moon® : in nose out mouth slow and regular and deep

CzechWoods : yes. in - out - deep - regular

intense_female : I breathe into my dan tien... the solar plexus
intense_female : (martial arts)

CzechWoods makes mental note : not to piss of intense, she knows martial arts
CzechWoods : so, in out - regular deep. is there more to know for breathing ?

 intense_female : to do it

CzechWoods : besides breathing into different chakras (thats advanced breathing!)
CzechWoods : there is more into breathing. breathing has four stadiums, just as there are four seasons, four winds, four moon phases...its in, out, hold, not breathing
CzechWoods : for a beginner, I would recommend to start the count 4 method
CzechWoods : its easy to remember and hard to practice, you breath in - count 4 in your mind, hold breath - count 4, breath out - count 4, dont breath - count 4, repeat
CzechWoods : For this meditation practice, work out - you best find a position where you can calmly breath. sitting is fine, standing is fine, lieing ... depends on you

Laurelovely01 : is it important to keep your back completely straight?

CzechWoods : Laure, no. not for European ancient traditions
CzechWoods : you need to be comfortable because the counting will keep you busy enough and later on the meditations themselves so no need to be in certain position. as long as the breathing goes easy

Whispering_Moon® : is it supposed to make you yawn

CzechWoods : Moon, it is supposed to make you learn how to breath regularly, and to keep your mind off busy thoughts as said in the beginnings, falling asleep is a good option

 Whispering_Moon® : lol ok

CzechWoods : so, what a student to meditations has to learn in the beginning is easy:
CzechWoods : breathing, calmly, breathing for the cause of breathing
CzechWoods : yawning means: that you haven’t learned yet to breath...
CzechWoods : your body automatically says: oooh look, its calm
breathing - must be time to sleep
CzechWoods : so, count 4 should be achieved in a simple, natural way
CzechWoods : the "cracks" out there do count 7 though
CzechWoods : but we speak for beginners

 intense_female : lol

CzechWoods : I personally feel better with count 4 too
CzechWoods : now, how long should a beginner exercise, and how often ?
CzechWoods : 24/7

 intense_female : exercise what?
intense_female : lol

 CzechWoods : just kidding!

 intense_female : whew

CzechWoods : exercise to breath / later to meditate
CzechWoods : so, how much exercise for a beginner ... ?

 Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : half hour?

 intense_female : just a little

 Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : twice a day?

CzechWoods : most important - not kidding now. is DAILY practice

 Whispering_Moon® : 5 min 3x and day?

CzechWoods : at least 5 minutes of breathing, better 20 minutes
CzechWoods : so, all of above ideas - get an A

 intense_female : yeah I got an A

CzechWoods : our problem is mainly .... we are so tired all day, and so stressed

 Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : here a question

CzechWoods : that when we have time to rest, we feel like sleeping, and when its time to sleep we cannot even that

Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : by saying the European trads allow it, do you mean the sleep is then considered meditation?

CzechWoods : the European tradition I am teaching does NOT say its a bad thing if you fall asleep

Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : but its not considered meditation?

CzechWoods : we are convinced, that if you fall asleep it was meant to

Whispering_Moon® : once we learn to breath what comes next

 CzechWoods : no. and yes

intense_female : I know that in Christian beliefs its said to be the devil tempting or disrupting when you fall asleep in prayer... however I always felt it was more of a joining (success)

CzechWoods : it means: you are not yet capable of relaxing with mind awake

 Gia1018 : I didn't know that Intense.. it's interesting..

Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : or that you are tired, get sleep

Gia1018 : czech, are we allowed to listen to music while we meditate?

CzechWoods : Gia. were are allowed to do what ever pleases us.

Gia1018 : that sounds cool! so, do you listen to music while you
meditate?

CzechWoods : I would recommend though, in the beginning, to FIRST learn a basic way of solemnly meditating, and then skipping to what feels best for me
CzechWoods : Gia, I do lots of things when meditating. My fav is doing the dishes or driving the car

Whispering_Moon® : once we get breathing what is next please?

Gia1018 : driving the car? is that not a little dangerous?

CzechWoods : moon, I?ll get back to it   BIG promise
CzechWoods : Gia, no. but then, i am not a beginner

 intense_female men, promises promises

 Whispering_Moon® : lol ty

 Laurelovely01 : lol

CzechWoods : ok, back to the topic.
CzechWoods : once we have learned to easily count-4 breathing, we go on with relaxing us
CzechWoods : ok, so I did not forget - alike my male fellows - my promise ... heehee

 Laurelovely01 : lol

 intense_female : lol

CzechWoods : How to continue when we have learned the count 4 breathing, you start active relaxing, while you are breathing, mind you, you feel how your legs relax, your hands, arms .. shoulders, etc

Gia1018 : is there supposed to be an order to this?

CzechWoods : until you have all body relaxed AND breathing count 4 continues
CzechWoods : Gia, its as you like it, you can start with the center of body, you can start with the external parts from below, from above.  its really how you feel it good : in the beginnings you will see: while you are perfectly relaxing, your breathing will go down the tubes or you will fall asleep or both.   what should you feel like, when you realize your count 4 breathing did not hold while you relaxed ? Guilt ? Shame ?

 Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : beligerent

 intense_female : nope... doesnt matter just re-focus ?

 Whispering_Moon® : relaxed

CzechWoods : moon and intense A again

 intense_female : woohoo!

CzechWoods : worm, have to look up beligerent first

Rûthlëss_VÃllÃ¥iñ : yea I don’t know what it means either lol

 CzechWoods : aggressive, war-alike
CzechWoods : Worm, nope, more what Moon and Intense said

intense_female : Czech he was joking

CzechWoods : Intense, that’s why he gets no A
