Meditating in Traffic
This meditation isn't limited to walking the key ingredient is Awareness and letting go take and let go, take and let go. I do it in my car, in fact I enjoy doing it in my car; meditation, that is. Reason being is that you have to stay focused but not tunnel visioned. You listen to the sound of your engine the rush of the wind the flow of the traffic you watch the movements as a whole, which is the awareness that i'm talking about. You then see potential dangers and potential safety spots and you move accordingly now that is just you being one with your machine.
Now this also detaches you from the inner critic, the list maker in your head, the coulda shoulda wouldas you are focused on the here and now someone flips you off? Do you get mad? uh uh simply because you are in the flow traffic is that flux that community that you agree to be a part of no matter how bad it can be but you never let them see you sweat you let it work for you in this awareness. once again you are seeing the flow....the patterns of danger and safety spot so why worry about being held up in traffic start getting antsy and claustrophobic? start going inward again,listening to the engine the smell of gas the sight/flux that is forever changing in front of you.
