Wicca and the Toad

This was a "chat" conversation between Intense Female and Kellog bluff.  The format has been modified for easier reading -- or as we Teachers sometimes call it, " spoon feeding."

Kellog: There is a natural elasticity in the validity of data regarding Psi.  There is usually more than one valid answer; Usually never a "right" answer.  "Right" and "Wrong" apply to folk's perception. The smaller that specific perception is, the more important and righteous that a "right" answer exist, for those who seek.  Folks with small perceptions screech for "who's right"...hoping that they are. 

One nice thing about the Next level...is that this (what we are discussing)  is a moot point. WE create our own "Right" and "Wrong." We are free to accept others' "Right" --- or create our own. It is our primary choice. We can become islands unto our selves --- for eternity if we wish, because we can also define eternity; and while all this is happening to us…the rest of Existence --- simply moves around us, like drivers missing a toad in the road. Any time righteous discussions persist about "who is right" --- it makes me think of the toad in the road, and now.... it will make YOU think of it also. Consider it my daytime gift to you --- "the toad in the road"

I have a short story about Mr. Toad, but the above is the epilogue. Save your energy for discussions that merit pristine introspection. When toads pee on your hand --- you can get warts. The Difference between opinion and guidance…is in the perspective of the listener, and his/her experience, and the flexibility thereof.  After all --- you should say to the Rookies: I have a story to tell, but it may not be for you to listen. Toads, after all, do not discourse well. Then watch out for the Pee .

But as you are Much more compassionate than I…give them a nipple to suckle, and hold their hands. The Goddess, after all - is a Mother.

Intense:   ah true, but I pray and call out "Father".

Kellog: Dad has the car keys. Mom cooks the meals. Ya need both - wheels and meals.

Intense:   do you think that it is a good time to ask for a book on Wicca? it has been on my mind.

Kellog: Why Wicca?

Intense:: I don' know, but it's Wicca. in my head.

Kellog:  Don't you have enough to read right now?  Then why pile more on yur plate? chomp chomp.

Intense:: cause its bugging me; nagging.

Kellog: chomp. What's wrong with yur asparagus? Ya want candy?

Intense:: lol. point taken.

Kellog:   Don't always assume the Only source of data in the Wurld is from a book. Wicca is a way of life, a practice, a walk.

Intense:  well to be truthful, I've been doing rituals that my head gave me...I wanted to see if they were of Wicca origin.

Kellog:   listen to yur question...you are talking without listening. Chomp. yada yada.

Intense:: ahhhh a smack…I knew I could get one !

Kellog:  let's do a quick self-review, shall we? Who are you? What is yur essence? Do you have any gifts that you are Tapping - at all? Are you a Dolt?  Do you consider yourself in Touch with the Goddess, at any level? Are you bringing spirit in the Wurld - by actions, by healing? .........Am I going too fast?

Intense:: yes, I attempt to bring spirit into the world.

Kellog: attempt - or do?

Intense::  I do.

Kellog:   leave the "attempt" in the bathroom where it belongs. One "attempts" a bowel movement. In your Path - you Do - or you do Not.

Intense:     yes, I DO bring spirit into the world.

Kellog: outstanding. OK. Have you built a personal Etiquette, that defines your Intent in this Wurld and the next? (this is not a trick question.)

Intense:     it is not something that is simply built and is done, it is a working process; yes. I am building it each day (my etiquette.)

Kellog: yes?

Intense:    damn... no; no I have not.

Kellog:   are you drawing the plans up?

Intense::    yes I am.

Kellog:   have you started implementation on these plans?

Intense:    no I have not.

Kellog:   You have Taken NO steps whatsoever?

Intense:    I have taken steps.

Kellog:   then your answer should be "yes". Action; action is the essence.

Intense:  : but I have not implemented in a deliberate manner... my mind is not trained yet. I fall out.

Kellog:  even 1 DEFINED step, is action.

Intense::   then yes.

Kellog:    you are chomping --- not answering questions. I am making the questions a yes/no context; Don't unmake them so. Yada...Yada. I don't want excuses; this is self-review. Leave the excuses in the same toilet as your attempts, and flush. Remember - this is because of yur chomping for Wicca.

I am showing you something that eludes you. You --- in your perception --- do not see it…therefore you flop around looking for it. You are standing on that which you seek. Do Not take this critique personally. Slow down. Stop hop hopping around, and Listen to these simple questions.

That piece of white on your shoe is NOT toilet paper. It is yur Essence.

You are already of Wicca. It is yet for you to realize this. And how does one realize this? Build Etiquette. Build protocol. Proceed in the Wurld. Wicca is the development of personal Power in this Wurld, for self-actualization and manifestation. Wicca personifies the Spirit thru personal manifestation of Spirit in this Wurld's Protocol. Hence, witness the absorption of Love for the Goddess and lower deities. But it is a Personal Protocol, and is about the personal manifestation of personal goals, in This Wurld. And it can prepare you for the next, if you so choose.

I left all the sparkling mumbo-jumbo out. NOW; given what you have just heard, do you think You have Any attributes at all - that are Wicca?

Intense::   yes.

Kellog: Good morning Vietnam       So; the question is�?/FONT>how Proper a Wiccan do you want to be? Do you wish to follow all the Traditional Precepts? (be a good little sheep?)

Intense::    I don't.

Kellog:    Ouch. Then figure out what you want to be, when you grow up --- and build your Protocol to take you there. You are what we refer to as a "Solitary Practitioner"; Non-traditional, of course. There are generic precepts that "Wiccans" tell everyone they follow. Major arcana, minor arcana. Let your Etiquette define what you hold dear to you,  Not some book. Use what is useful, assimilate. There is no "one right" answer. There are many valid answers. Wicca is a fairly valid path --- if you stay away from the bells and whistles designed to weigh you down to this Wurld. You are a Visitor here. The Temple you are in - is a rental. Keep this in mind when you review a Creed or a precept or a Path. Things/devotions/requirements/promises - that bind you to this Wurld - should not be part of your Etiquette and Protocol…unless you wish to remain part of this Wurld.

Traveler's NOTE: I am not saying that to be bound to this Wurld is BAD; I am only saying it is a personal choice. It so happens to Not be my personal choice. For many Wiccans - it Is theirs. To better understand the paradox in my statement, you should be aware there is a level of Astral very close to this Wurld. I wish to go beyond this --- and beyond astral, hence my protocol. Again --- it is, always, a personal choice.

And Yes - Witan , it is very complicated for us to write something for the adepts without injecting a subjective assessment, and most don't do it. Some of us don't Do it for a reason ---- the acceptance parameter. I'm not a dictionary, I'm a teacher. I could say - "FYI, there is manure under your foot." But I choose to say "Do ya Really wanna step in the Doo?" The masses need both the bespectacled whizbang scientist (you) and the wizened old fart/warrior (me). Or some such yada.
