And the voice said "Believe me, believe me" And then I read "Deceive thee, deceive thee" The scriptures of the politicion Seldom break with aged tradition, Always the saviour's guide, until In, and then their 'u' bends fill Both our amazement and our eyes With blatent babble and lots of lies, But then again ~ I have to say We voted them back for another stay!!! Hy Dix, thanks, this was a spontaniously inspired piece by Peter's write, we share a disgust at politics in this country and I had just sat reading Peter's poem with my head silently nodding, but have changed the last line...I think that is more derogative. Heck, It's quiet, I have flu and horrid cough and I know Mikhail's pc has crashed, but...when I get up, there's not much to do at the mo', Zy And the voice said "Believe me, believe me" And then I read "Deceive thee, deceive thee" The scriptures of the politicion Seldom break with aged tradition, Always the saviour's guide, until In, and then their 'u' bends fill Both our amazement and our eyes With blatent babble and lots of lies, But then again ~ I have to say We voted them for another play!!! Is there a size bigger than King? Add me too! Despise the politics in this country too and around the world. Get the New York Times, BBC news, Washington Post and AJC in my email every day. You can have Bush lol. |

Zy I loved this!! The whole rhythm and rhyme and the general "voice" of the piece is just so... to the point and it has a "there it is on the page, like it or lump it" feel to it, which you always do so well! I love the line about blatent babble and lots of lies! You hit the nail on the head with that one! lol Love always, Fluff xx |

Thanks Fluff and Peggy, I through my hands in the air in exasperation and the political and medical goings on in this country, when it used to be such a leader...it's hard to accept the changes in so short a time, but....c'est la vie for many countries now it seems. Still feeling lousy, Peggy, but with half term, it's not easy to shake it, as one has to be on the ball, am now munching root ginger, lol....and it's doing more than all the new fangled medications. Dix, we have our own Bush, it's called Blair, and you can have him any day! Zy |

lol...if we send them all to some deserted island, Dix, then the monsters would be inherant in the inhabitants, lol, let them start their own new culture and civilisation and let them be the victims of their crimes against society. Do you know...I do like that idea, Dix, lol.....wicked....and justice, at the same time, Zy |

mmwwwhhhhaaaa, lol, Peter, we will always agree if things keep on going as they are. We have just had a call from a friend of ours half an hour ago, he had terrific pain in his back, went to doctors, ho hummm...went to Worthing hospital....ho humm, bit of a pulled muscle from some heavy gardening. Went to Spain and spent 7 out of 9 days in hospital on his back (diagnosed as a chipped disc with fragment dangerously close to spine) and was flown home to Worthing hospital, via Goodwood airport. . .as medical insurance wouldn't cover the op in Spain. Worthing gave him a couple of morphine injections and sent him home. Saying, it was just a back pain....rest it. Next day he couldn't walk and his doctor had him taken to a specialist in Haywards Heath Hospital where he was operated on within two days, to save him perhaps being parylised. He is now doing fine, but....THAT'S my local hospital, Worthing, (((shudder))) Zy x |
