Through squinting eyes
I emphasise
time ~ is all inclusive,
it wraps around
volution bound
making 'self' reclusive.
Mind revolving
words evolving
thoughts caught in a trap,
it's often said
'Must go to bed'
yet there's still another lap.

Sod the sleep and yaaay for the poetess that resides inside of you in those quiet hours....many a time being reclusive is the only way for me too Zy..I think I shall have to go rent a flat of me own lol ok  well maybe that is a little extreme but know there is something there inside to say  just have not found the words   or maybe I have not got the words to say it yet...like this very much..x

lol....didn't add 'dancing' Stella,  but yes, there is always that quiet time for writers that nomatter the day gone by, good or bad, when it is the muse and 'self" alone...
the only trouble is, lol, when she kicks in....
I could play around with words till it's time to get up, not always the best solution for the next day's performance in other roles, and watch out for the baton, I have been having the most tedious problems with the internet...but new Wifi box came this morning so, fingers crossed. Just waiting for phone line connection also.

Will post the baton is yours later with more time and better connection, so start thinking, lol, but Santa is 'flying' into the bay/beach today by helicoptor (millenium sleigh,  I guess) for Christmas market festivities along the prominade. Thanks for such a kind reply, Zy x

Agree with that 'other lap' ....words always arrive with yawns ....or the quiet early hours of the morning .....haven't had many of those lately, so my muse has gone to sleep instead.
Liked this, Zy

I hope they've set up a rest home for out of work reindeer!

An evocative peek into the creative process, Zy. There is a lot of "movement" in this - a sense of restless motion. Good work.

Aahhh...well...they are the latest Noel Special at our local snack bar,
Steak/Cheval Burgers/Haché.....groan....I know, a bad 'taste' joke,

and yes, when common sense says one thing and the muse says another,
but the movement is easy to understand the way things are at the mo',
the new year should be more settled in every way, Zy

Christmas/New Year is always a sleepy time in poetry corners, Jen,
like the muse of everyone takes a vacation at the precise same time.

Yet, the darker silent hours remain the same...thank goodness; lol; my 'recharge' time,
thanks; Jen, another late night quickie cos keep being kicked off line, so rushed it a bit, Zy x
