being young and free

running around playing tag

and climbing up a tree.

you were always glad.

never any problems

and definitely no pain.

the feeling that you felt

you thought that you would melt.

how you couldn’t wait to drive a car

thought thirty was so old

and the next county was so far.

Now look at today

and compare it to the past
