Woke up today

to the sound of rain

Constant and strong

just like the pain.

Saw a flash

and heard a roar

Then it really

started to pour.

Thought to myself

what an ugly day

Then I realized

that was stupid to say.

For each day we wake

and are able to see

Is a day to celebrate

and to be happy.

Sunshine is easier

to accept and adore

But the rain is also

necessary for sure.

For the rain allows

all the flowers to bloom

Providing us beauty

to drown out the gloom.
