The Fabric of Unity

Silken threads
Woven in time

Colours of love
Fibres of strength

Set deep within
The heart and the soul

Eyes that reflect
Hands that touch gently

The unity of knowing
The beauty within

How wondrous this fabric
Humanity's cloth

Intricate meldings
The lace of our lives.

Entwined

The flames of a lifetime of candles

Ablaze in the ebony sky

Dancing to the music

Of Universal Soul

Each step

To an inner beat

Of the One

And yet apart

 Touching softly

Warming gently

Rising together

Sharing the light

Then flickering

And falling apart

Imprinted in memory

A touch of heart

Relentless this movement

This seeking of path

Flames moving ever upward

Entwined in the dance of life

Yet each one burning brightly

Alone and apart

Together.................

Stand straight...stand tall
Light fill us all
Look to the soul
Keep love in your heart
Fear and darkness dispel
The battle has begun
With loving peace shall it swell
Find that quiet place
Deep within
Retreat there
Find the place
Replenish the light
Look to the Source
Spread the light
Send only love
Be at one
Unite
Cause your fellow man
To seek the light

The  Sea of Humanity

As the evening sun sets gently
And the blue Sea turns to gold
In the still, sun-warmed air
Stirs a breeze fresh and cold

Come the darkness
Bring the night
Storm clouds gather
Block the light

And I look into the water
It confirms my deepest fears
For there is the blood of my brothers
Washed in my sisters' tears

And  I hear the voices rising
On the moonbeams high above
The spirit of all nations
Arms enfolding - sending love

For this - our darkest moment
Has  pierced our heart as one
So join our hands together
Never from the darkness run
With courage and in friendship
Let us greet the rising sun.

Me ,My Friend, and I

Iam you best friend where I reside
In you, my dear, deep inside.
Within your heart of caverns deep
I wait and see if you will sleep.
And if it happens , that you forget
Your talent, giftsts and all things met,
I'll gently speak through walls of love
Reminding you of things above.
You ned not do, just to be
Your very presence is your fee.
I am your bbest frind can't you see?
I am your best frind, I am me.

All Together

Shining together, each one a star in the Mind of God.
weaving constellations of Light, of Love.

Singing together, each one a harmony in the Voice of the Angels
creating a song of Joy and Devotion.

Swimming together, each one a wave in the Sea of Bliss
murmuring the mysteries of eternity.

Dancing together, each one a step in the Dance of Life
following rhythms of perfection complete.

"The Beauty"

 The beauty is restoredbefore me;
I am open to all that allows me to go forward,
with love and awareness.
  The beauty is restored behind me;
I see the thing's I have left behind
in order to grow further.
I embrace all of the lessons learned
and with forgiveness for myself and others,
my past is now complete.
  The beauty is restored above me;
I am one with the sky and all that is above.
While making my dreams possible,
I soar in flight, with glee.
  The beauty is restored below me;
I am one with the earth,
I gladly walk the paths of the ancient ones,
so that I may also know their secrets and share them.
  The beauty is restored within me;
My soul and spirit are healed,
and they dance with the universe bringing joy and knowledge to all.
  The beauty surrounds me;
I place myself in the hands of the universe
and all that is good....
And it is good.

RESOLUTION

by
Kathi Flannery  10/6/01

I want to live until I die;
to laugh, rejoice, to feel
and think and cry;
and yes, to fly! -with purpose
and a destination-
to dream, to build, to plan with dedication;
to believe in love and life and peace and worth;
to share the wonders of the mind,
and of this earth;
to care for thousands that I'll never see
and feel that caring flowing back to me.

God spared my life, my living, with a reason,
and I had entered on a different season
of calm and peace and growth-
He wouldn't want that season ended now!

But neither would he want me to froget,
and I never will; nor recall without regret
that proud, bright skyline of September 10th!
I grieve  for shattered lives, for heroes lost;
and rebuilding! -I cannot comprehend the cost.

But somehow I feel our country will survive,
and I pray that I'll keep this resolve alive;
I know sometimes I'll worry, fear, and cry-
but, oh, dear Lord,
I want to live until I die.

A Mothers Love

In your kind andgentle way
You gave me strength and courage
You taught me to care
for the world,
You showed me the power
of faith
And the pleasures of giving
instead of take.
You worried over me
sometimes needlessly.
And I know now
the meaning of your words
A child that is growing
stomps the toes,
But a child that is grown
stomps the heart.
And some of your
silver strands of hair,
I know I helped put there.
Perhaps you didn't say
often enough
Nor, I
I love you..
But I know you did
as I do you,
Because you were
my dear mother.

PROUD TO BE an AMERICAN

Lofty mountains..
Valleys sweep
into golden fields of grain,
A battered flag
that still waves on
A people proud
with inner strength,
Battles won
for freedoms sake..
Yes, I'm proud
to be an American

SADDAM HUSSEIN

by Real   Oct. 1990

You're a digger of ditches
In this you take great pride
But the only thing
you've managed
Is a place to hide.
You stole  a country
by greed and stealth
Forgetting a people
while you live in wealth.
Onto the sand you make a sheild
from the innocent
And care not of their lives spent
You dare call yourself man.
With your back to the wall
your armies grow small
For you didn't for-see
the strength of forces united
and that goodness shall prevail.
Perhaps you belong to God's
scheme of things
But, Saddam Hussein
you're the worse case of evil
That I've ever see.

for my neice who lost her unborn child 1995

You slept in darkness
waiting to be born
Surrounded by love
aching arms could not hold.
Gone too soon
you never saw this world
Nor, the loving smile
upon your mother's face.
Sleep, little one
in God's gentle hands
Awake to sweet lullabys,
Angelic song
Your name remembered
in whispered prayer
From trembling lips.
Live, Julia Donna
in His holiest light
Know love reaches through
the universe and on
into eternity.

Late at night
I like to sit
And watch the heavens
Unfurl
Dark and omnious,
Silver-lined clouds
Sail above the world.

I think of thoughts
From yesterdays-
Future things
Best left untouched,
Dark and omnious
Sometimes, silver-lined.

And so-
I sit and watch
The heavens unfold.

PASS NOT THIS WAY AGAIN

Riding out in the country side
A heavy sadness fills my heart
As the landscape passes by
Asleep,  in silent apathy
In empty feed lots and hayfields
Vacant pasture lands and cornfields.
There is a new growth instead
Of trees in sprout, and lifeless structures
That plant their hidden roots
Small towns on down a black new road
Entwine and flourish,
Where family farms once were plenty
A picket sign reads 'property sold'.
Cornstalks that grew, in a straight and even row
To greet a morning sun,
Never again to grow.
I think of the red man who saw
The wagons roll across the prairie,
I feel his great sorrow, a heart in pain
For he too lost a friend
And our fathers said, 'progress'
Back then.
No, quite beauty will not pass this way again.
