Hello everyone,
When did you have an awakening to some part of your spiritualness and connection that stood out to you most of all that you would like to share?

Hello dear family,
The most memorable awakening moment I have had happened to me while crossing the desert in Arizona in the mid 60s when I was 16.  I spent the summer in California living with family friends and we were making a trip back to Illinois to get some things.  Me and the other girl who was visiting them were in the back of the pickup truck holding down a mattress on a bed they were taking back to IL.  Anyway, as it got toward evening and I was looking at the sky and watching the sun make its descent as it began setting, I felt a great sense of awe come over me and all of a sudden, I understood just how tiny I am in comparison to the universe, but yet how important I am too.  I understood the connection to everything and everyone instantly.  I knew in that moment, that even though I am a tiny part of all things, my being here and my job is important as part of the whole.  We each have a job to do and it is just as important as any other one.  All of the jobs we each do have to work together in order for everything to function as it should.  We all have to be like a well oiled machine and that is how it all should work.  By saying we, I understood that "we" pertains to us and to all things that are here and in the universe.  I understood that we are no better than the smallest grain of sand and we are no less than anything or anyone else.  As the realization started moving away in perspective, I felt so tiny and so in awe of just how big Earth and the Universe is, how unending the universe is and how important each of us is.

Now share yours with us please..lol

Love in Light and Peace,
Winds of Change

I am working on my spiritual journey message I give next Sunday.  It is hard to understand, yet so so important to figure it out for yourself

I started as a Methodist and have never really left that religion.  We got married by the United Methodist clergy of my High School church and by the Lutheran campus minister in Iowa City.   I was a US-2 missionary for the United Methodist church placed in Richmond VA when I got married halfway through my mission trip.  All that really did was ensure who I was, who I was supposed to be, and that linking with the man I consider as my guardian angel was keeping me on the right track.

In the 26 years since the marriage, we have faced chronic disease, loss of the one and only pregnancy that we ever had, loss of jobs, bancruptcy, 20 mailing addressses ( the new one starts June 22) and still.................................................

It is through our ongoing belief in Jesus that we are given the strength to continue.  Tears are really only a fuel that cleans out and opens the 'garden' for new growth.

I am blessed to have linked with my husband since 1974 even though marriage happened in 79 the linkage was there and very strong and it is still VERY STRONG,

Dear MsMari,
Thank you for sharing your story.  I, too have found strength with my husband.  We were meant to be together.  May your story go on for as many years as it is to be and be as happy as you have been and still are.

Love in Light and Peace,
Winds of Change
