Alex,  Hi again.  First thing you need to do, is find out what food the breeder is weaning your bird to.  If I don't have the food the bird is used to, I ask for a small bag to tide us over til I can buy the same food. Then stick with that until he recovers from the change in homes and gets used to you.  There are many good pelleted diets, I use 3 or 4 different ones regularly.  Also greens and veggies daily.

Hi, Alex!  I did the same thing...I asked what the breeder was feeding, and bought that.  They also gave me a bag til I was able to pick some up.  Most breeders are happy to help out!

Awwwwww Alex, Congrats!! Quakers are the best!!! I have used several
brands, KayTee, Scarlett. I like the Scarlett best, but I also mix lots of
pellets with it. Too much seed can make them fat too.

Hello Alex,
Baby (my 3 year old Quaker) likes the "roudy bush" crumbles. He also gets some seed, and lots of things off our plate (he will eat off our plates-then his). we limit the sweet and high fat stuff (but he likes to have a corn chip and salsa on occasion). What ever you end up feeding, make sure you can get it any time.

Hi Alex

I have 2 green dragons and no not all of them have black feet both mine have grey feet and since they are housed in the same cage the only way to tell them apart when they are side by side and quiet (i have screamers lol) is the fact Gonzo's feet are a darker grey than Fancy's

Hope this helps,
Saph
