(p.s. I was thinking of this thread a while back, and thought I would like to find this and post it somewhere it can be seen easily.  Don't want to lose this again.
I have been fishing around our way-back yonder pages, seeking for a message  I  THOUGHT I wrote once,  but can't remember it's name.  I sure would like to find it.  But have not..  But when I get to doing this,  I always end up moving loads of stuff to special boards.

Back when this group was young, and we did not know much,  we placed everything on the General.  So it long ago passed into obscurity and forgotten, out of mind.

But I like to salvage many of them.  But it does take up a lot of my time.  Anyway, I found this and want to share it with you all one more time:)

What's mainly wrong with society today is that too many Dirt Roads have been paved.

There's not a problem in America today, crime, drugs, education, divorce, delinquency that wouldn't be remedied, if we just had more Dirt Roads, because Dirt Roads give character.

People that live at the end of Dirt Roads learn early on that life is a bumpy ride.

That it can jar you right down to your teeth sometimes, but it's worth it, if at the end is home...a loving spouse, happy kids and a dog.

We wouldn't have near the trouble with our educational system if our kids got their exercise walking a Dirt Road with other kids, from whom they learn how to get along.

There was less crime in our streets before they were paved.

Criminals didn't walk two dusty miles to rob or rape, if they knew they'd be welcomed by 5 barking dogs and a double barrel shotgun.

And there were no drive by shootings.

Our values were better when our roads were worse!

People did not worship their cars more than their kids, and motorists were more courteous, they didn't tailgate by riding the bumper or the guy in front would choke you with dust & bust your windshield with rocks.

Dirt Roads taught patience.

Dirt Roads were environmentally friendly, you didn't hop in your car for a quart of milk you walked to the barn for your milk.

For your mail, you walked to the mail box.

What if it rained and the Dirt Road got washed out? That was the best part, then you stayed home and had some family time, roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn and pony rode on Daddy's shoulders and learned how to make prettier quilts than anybody.

At the end of Dirt Roads, you soon learned that bad words tasted like soap.

Most paved roads lead to trouble, Dirt Roads more likely lead to a fishing creek or a swimming hole.

At the end of a Dirt Road, the only time we even locked our car was in August, because if we didn't some neighbor would fill it with too much zucchini.

At the end of a Dirt Road, there was always extra springtime income, from when city dudes would get stuck, you'd have to hitch up a team and pull them out.

Usually you got a dollar...always you got a new friend...at the end of a Dirt Road!

We were looking for birds the other day and we were riding down a dirtroad and joie remember that I had put this on our board several months back and she wanted to see if I could find this and post. So joie here it is.

We all need the dirtroads in our life. How many on this board remembers the dirtroads. I can remember when that was about all we had. The roads were bumpty and rough but somehow we always seemed to make it.

Thank God for the dirtroads.

p.s. again:  it is not as cute as at the beginning, because all the pictures on it were gone.  so I deleted the blank spaces.

 Dear Isaiah,

I do thank you very much, for taking the time to search and find this.  I enjoyed reading it the first time you posted it; and I enjoyed it more this time.

For truly in my own childhood, dirt roads had a very strong place in helping mold the me that I am today.  I love dirt roads.  I love country.

You and I have really rode and found some lovely country the last few days.  For that I thank you.

Only you know the sorrow my life has been in for a while.  Only you have helped fill that hurt place.

I cannot thank you enough.

I would like to tell our members this:  for I love reading about their personal things as they post them.  It gets us a little freed up from all the Scripture debating which goes on here so seriously.

Yesterday as you and I rode down a dirt road looking for birds, we found a beautiful buck deer.  He stood there in the weeds looking at us as we looked at him.

He was truly the most beautiful one I had ever seen.  You borrowed my binoculars to look at him with.  You had never seen one that way before.  You were so trilled at how beautiful he was.  He kept looking at us as if trying to fugure out if he should be alarmed or not.  He stayed there a good while, until another car came by .  Then He ran off.

We both so much enjoyed that.  So today, you went shopping with me and bought yourself some binoculars.  You are going to try to learn to love birding as I do. Hope you make it friend, for then there will never be a dull moment.

Birding is the greatest past-time there could be.  Expecially when you find beautiful deer instead.

Love to you,

your friend

you know who

Oh!!  I just LOVE this!!
Some of my best times have been riding dirt roads.   In recent years birding.
But sometimes just riding for the sheer relaxation of it.  Whether with someone else or bymyself or just me and my dog.
If someone has never tried it then they dont know what they are missing.
Sometimes when me and mama are out riding we start out hunting for birds but if we come to a dirt road we have never been down before we have to ride it just to find out where it goes or what is down it.
Thanks for this Isaiah.
Wanna

Wanna, I told him about that when we came to that one he is talking about. He had better sense than I did; he backed out before getting stuck.

He was amazed when I told him how deep that mud was and how much Mark washed out from under my van.  I know only God in heaven helped me back out of that mess.

And all because I forgot one little turn you had made when You and I went to that other place.  I never did get Eric and Rachel there either.

Whew, just remembering all that mud make me shudder.

Love you my girl.

Mama

Ya'll better let me in on what's going on.....wheeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!
Me, all I think is, Love, Jesus Loves the little children, all little children of the world.
What the world needs now is love sweet love, not just for some but for everyone!
Love makes the world go round'!
W h a t e v e r ! ! !
I just received a new bird book full of beautiful pictures.  I have more birds here now that Carter has pills!  I feed them all the year long, plus they have plenty of berries and such too.
Hello Wanna, Isaiah, and Joie.....ya'll watch all that mud....at least you are not an old "stuck in the mud"  ha!
Send a picture for us to see sometime of the birding....that'd be real cool.

spiritwalker, I sent this picture the other day but u must not saw it,so here it is again.

We were looking for some birdies here and I took a picture of this creek. I told joie that I wish it had been
warm and she had not been sick I would have got her to pull off her shoes and get in the middle and took her
picture and sent to yall. Send us a picture of yu or put it in yur album. We are just having some great fun together.
And we are enjoying Gods' beauty together. Nothing like the beauty of God.

Joie is trying to learn me some things about bird watching but don't know whether I will make it of not. She
has so much knowledge about them. We also have saw some very interested things and beautiful things of God
while we were out bird wastching. The other day we saw the most beautiful buck deer that I have ever seen.
I had never saw one like we saw that one. He just stood there for so long for us to admire him. He seem to know
that we were not going to harm him and that God wanted him to let us admire his beauty. When another vehicle came up the road he left as to sense there was danger approaching. We will have to come to yur place to c the birdies since
you have so many, Is there any mud and dirt roaads around where u live. I surely hope so.

Speaking of your thread on "What God Has Joined Together", that thread has really amazed us. The last time
I looked it has 86 posts. Amazing. May GOD BLESS my dear Sister in Christ and also my friend and trumpet blower, keep on sounding the trumpet.
