Ideas and suggestions please ... wana volunteer to organise it !!! IF we get enough feedback, then we can do our best to accommodate as many people as possible more info ....

Willing to pay £5 (or more) towards organistion / food etc ...

Has got to be at the school if possible or close proximity.

Tour of school, various stalls: caning, alastain shooting, cider drinking etc. What about a cross country run across the Quantocks.

I am happy to help out in the organisation.

The school is a great idea, and the thought of sleeping in our old dorms - well!

great idea for the school. it would be nice to chill out in the grounds drink and be merry. it would be weird for the people who havent been back since as everything would be so much smaller. the logistics of this would be massive. good luck to the organizers. i wish i could help but being out of the loop for so long i wouldnt be of any help.

keep us up to date. get the messages out to everyone. it would be great to see the mates/brothers and sisters that we all left behind all those years ago.

I think the Bank Holiday idea may not work very well. As mentioned by someone already the traffic will make life difficult but also remember that those with families may find it more difficult to get away on their own over a Bank Holiday. I would go for end June/early July to get the weather and the long days when it is light until late. Again this is before schools breakup and families go off on their hols.

What about an inter-house football match for those still fit enough?

School would be a great laugh and it is the one place that everybosy knows how to get to.

summer would be great as long as people can make it.

a piss up with old friends is a great idea and not much different to what happened at the school when we were there anyway. is it going to be for all years? it would be funny to find out what had happened in the past.

THE SPORTS HALL ISA GREAT PLACE TO HOLD A DISCO OR NIGHT CLUB ATMOSPHERE AS IT IS A BIG PLACE AND THE IDEAL POSITION FOR IT.

IT WILL BE A GREAT TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE AND I HAVE ALOT OF THEM AS I WAS THERE FOR 8 YEARS. SPONSORSHIP WOULD BE ANOTHER IDEA IN HELPING TO FUND THE EVENT, THROUGH OLD PUPILS COMPANYS AND COMPANYS IN THE AREA. IT WILL BE SO GREAT TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN NAD HOPE IT TAKES PLACE SOON

The best time would be when the weather is at its best, although I do accept that this *is* the United Kingdom. The best time would be early summer, prob. May-June.

We contact Matron first and see if we can get one of the newly revamped rooms to host a banquet. Thought it might be a bit much to expect Wally to do the cooking. As if anyone could want to return to *that*...

Has to be Quantock. Mind you- went back a couple of years ago and there were no trees up by the boys (psycho's) block- it had all gone. Looks completely different.

It would be a mind blowing experience to hold it at the old school its self. No other location would feel appropiate. Although this would dependon the Peasters. It would be a good experience to relive the building,as it was 16 years ago i last saw my old school pals when I left at the end of the third year.

Mid summer when the weather is fine, late July / early August.

Would it be possible to locate any of the old teachers. Summer BBQ as posted earlier would be good, Perhaps turn the old drama hall into a club for the evening. Spread over a long weekend would be a pleasure.

I still find it intriguing that so many have such fond memories of the place but I must admit the very idea of a reunion appeals (like a good horror film). Perhaps the caterers could give everyone devastating food poisoning to add the authentic charm of the mid- to late '70's.

It would be a great idea to have one on the school site.

Well I didn't do much drinking or dancing while I was there first time round. So it's time to rectify that now. POOL PARTY!!!!

Anywhere at all. There would need to be big organising going on if it were to be at the school........catering, entertainment, events, rotas, etc.

Anytime. 2002 summer isn't far away. If a date was agreed, word would spread like wildfire, but if 2002, decision will be needed in next couple of weeks. Probably need a small group/committee currently living locally(ish) to get it off the ground properly. I'm in Devon.

Reunion held @ weekend so we get to meet up with more ex-pupils & teachers!

Breakfast & Lunch provided;

All facilities available (swimming pool, bouncy castle etc);

Evening videos of performances, bouncy castle etc;

Saturday afternoon walk to Nether Stowey.....! The ideas are endless!!!!

It has to be at the School, to be able to see what it looks like now and the grounds around the school. It is also the easiest place to be able to get to four everyone.

We have to have the bouncy castle, that was the best bit about the Summer at Quantock and to have all the old teachers there as well, like Mrs Chudley and Mr Langley.

Agree with Sean Harvey's comments, June /July would be good as children will still be at school.

Naturally, it has to be at Quantock, as long as I am not in the drafty old tower dorm !!!.

If the price was set right, then it could be in the interest of Mrs P to sort out some accodation and lay on some grub. A party with some music in the Eve would be good, but if not, we could create our own !!

Quantock sounds amazing, can't believe it might be possible.

Still think best option is to go for one of the bank holiday weekends. Probably not August as people go on holiday. Second one in May is extra long next year due to the Golden Jubilee. Definitely 2002.

i think the school would be great if possible and it would be great to see how everyone is if alot of people knew about it and turned up.

The best time will be either easter hoilday or before summer hoilday because some people wont be in the country in the summer time and we dont want to miss it ..so before summer will be good
