As the mimulus mist
descends, enveloping in
tones of yesteryear's tears,
recall our pastoral symphony
of haunting melodies and love.
Watch the sun slowly scale
the waiting barren landscape
rendering comfort from reaching
arms to far beyond the surface,
as in slow evaporation ~ I withdraw
leaving you once again, locked
within our clouded memories.

these type poems of yours are the most powerful

you expose your 'self' only to those willing to 'see'

because 'seeing' is what you need - but - not what you want

this is mystical - shrouded as Les is shrouded

in the beautiful ballet of forward and back - to take from life what you need - then withdraw to protect what you must

this is - is - you

thanks,
m

Thanks, Stella, sometimes when the board is busy, I see poems go down so quickly and when only the last half dozen are read after that, some are missed, so i bring them back up again for a second chance, lol, bossy little cow, aren't I?

And thanks for looking beyond the syrface with this one, looking at it's year, I think it was written in a mood of sadness for friends who were separating, and it hit me how some things are missed in those last chances of repair. I wrote a lot about them in 2004, Zy

Your 'Fog' piece seeping through the threads, Dix? lol

Thanks, this goes back to 2004, so think it may have been a reaction to friends separating after many years, as I said to Stella, Dix, it hit me hard and gave me a shock and I did write a lot with the mood in me, Zy

Hi Zy

I like this poem because  you are speaking from your soul
I can feel you as I read and that is what makes it work for me
thanks for sharing

hugs
Cara
