Dear AROL: I just got off the phone with my oldest daughter who lives in Houston, Tx .. she her family and many others are leaving the city within the next few hours. They have asked that we pray for them especially for those who are have foolishly decide to stay . This storm in probably going to be the biggest to make land fall in recorded history of the USA, it's a # 5 with winds already up to 165 mph, this thing is a monster, it covers the entire golf and is as big as the state of Texas. I am asking for everyone to pray for those who are in it's path and that they are safe and protected. I also ask that you pray that everyone can buy the gas they need to travel with as the supplies are limited and they might not be any refueling available. Also pray that everyones needs are met in everyway. Thank you and many blessings and much love to everyone.. Dawning |

There are so many people who are going to be impacted by the other nature's reaction. My parents live in Houston, my dad called, saying that I, my sister, his cousin, and his son are all calling saying LEAVE!!
He was a little worried about gas, but he just filled it, tho had to use premium since the normal gas was gone. He is going to Katy to be with his son, my brother, than tomorrow to San Antonio, to be with his cousin.
We still hope they could also make it to Scottsdale, where no winds will hit them, and not damage will happen. My dad just put their house up for sale 2 days ago, but Rita may destroy any possiblity for sale.
Yes we all must PRAY for everyone to be safe and not impacted badly by the catagory 5 monstrer that is heading for Houston and all of TX.

My dad had called me last night, saying they would leave today. He said that not only I, but all of his children and a friend who lives in San Antonia called saying LEAVE!!
However, I called him this morning, and he says that the roads are so packed he cannot leave! It was taking 6 hours to get to Katy, where my brother lives, and it is only 40 miles. OWWW
So, he is staying so major prayers that his part of Houston will not be impacted. He has water, ice, canned food, and a woman who has Alhizmers and does not really understand what is going on.
So please pray for those who cannot make it out of the Rita's path

Dear DawningStar and everyone, Thank you DawningStar for posting this prayer request. My prayers are with your family and with MsMari's family who are in Texas. I am praying for all who are staying in the evacuated areas for safety and for their supplies to last as long as they need them to. I am also praying for all who are evacuating that they will find safe shelter and have enough gas to get where they are headed. I pray that this hurricane loses its power and speed before it hits landfall. For all of you who have family in the path of Hurricane Rita, I pray for you too as you worry about your loved ones. I pray that the preparations that have been made and are being made for the aftermath of this hurricane will reach the ones who need help can get it as soon as possible.
