The nut being my cousin Rick.....a total fitness nut who had a heart attack and subsequent quad. bypass 2 years ago at the age of 46.  Still had trouble and needed a pacemaker this past winter.  He won't give up.  He's participating in a triathalon or however you spell it this Sunday.   A mile and a half swim; a 24.8 mile bike race and a 6.2 mile run.  I hope he survives it.  It's supposed to be in the mid 90's in Huntington Sunday.  He read where he and Dick Cheney have the same ejection fraction....whatever the heck that has to do with his decision. I think my husbands E.F. is about the same, and he's not trying to prove anything to anyone. Rick's the one with the peacocks and turtles and stuff.  I always love new stuff to worry about.

That looks to me like you censored it.

Is he still running Naggynay?  You'd think by now he'd be over the finish line... How much daylight time is left in WV?

I like the play on words...."naggy" and "running"...

Still no one answering at aunt's house, but checked the 2nd site Annie posted, and they listed the names of people finishing, and I didn't see Ricks name in his age group, so I guess he didn't finish.  Hope the fact that no one answers the phone means they are out to dinner, instead of the emergency room.  They do crazy stuff, and have family everywhere down there, plus Rick's farm is pretty far out in the boonies, so who knows.
For some reason, I have a crummy headache, and hubby doesn't feel so good either, so we're going to bed in a few minutes, and it's only 9 PM, so I'll just check his blog in the morning to get the scoop on the race.
Nighty night from the old folkes home.......

He finished this time!  Yay, and thanks for the prayers.  I was actually pretty worried.

He wrote a couple of paragraphs about the race, so if anyone wants to take a minute to look at it, the link is above.  That way I won't have to add any more.

It is so humid here that I'm sweating so much that it's dripping down my forehead down into my eyes.  And I'm just sitting at the computer. I think I'll lay on my bed with the ceiling fan aiding the air conditioning....will summer ever be over???

Here's the link.

He's funny!! Everything was uphill, both ways. That's how I feel about my yard.
Glad he managed to finish.

Yikes, thanks for correcting that link......I think I had too much sweat in my eyes.
It's about 92 outside and about 99% humidity.  Rick works tirelessly for the poor in West Virginia, and has gone to the White House several times ~ working on committees for economic justice.
One thing I can say about Rick, and just about all of you that have had/are having heart problems: you do more than the average person when it comes to hard work.  My hat is off to you.

Thank goodness he finished?I would have wanted to cross that finish line no matter what?

as long as Annie and Abby didn’t drop the stretcher,  I’d make it across.

Ahhh, I can't believe you said that. You know I'd walk an extra mile for you. I'd even drag you across the finish line if I needed to.
