Good morning,

We got a little snow on Sunday, but the weather has been great.  Temperatures in the forties for the rest of the week.  Not bad for January in the Northeast!

Hope everyone is well.

Does anyone else miss the trivia contest?  I'd love to see it every month.

Barbara

Barbara, Trivia runs all the time. Just go here every day to play:

Barbara are you sure the Trivia still isn't being played?

Hopefully it will be another nice day here and the birds can get out. I have big plans to tear their room apart and do cages as I have a couple of helpers coming over to spend the day. I'll get the cages steam cleaned and disenfected...

I'm off to vote but thought I better check in as today will be too busy for computer time...

Abby, not scheduled yet, but since nothing can be done for me except meds I really see no point in the hassle of it. Can't have bypass and they are very worried about even trying more stents. I have small vessel disease in addition to all the blockages.

Murphy is whistling and happy today. Diana still wants to know "What doing?"

The carpenter has already been here and removed the old sink and counter and will build the new one and glue the formica at his place. He'll be back tomorrow to install it and the new sink. He has no more pressing jobs so I am going to have two more small countertops in the freezer room and the laundry done while he's available. May even have him do a bit of painting.
He's good at all kinds of jobs. I could keep him busy for weeks.

Got my new countertop and sink late today. Still not hooked up to the water yet. I am having him replace that other formica, too. He has to pick up the formica in another town. I cannot believe that with three lumberyards and two hardware stores and SherWms, no one stocks formica. Granite is the thing I suppose.

Guess what Hubby is doing at 11 p.m.?  Mopping the birdroom! That man is nuts. He mops better than me so I'll put up with nighttime work detail.

My BP bottomed out at 104/50 this morning. I couldn't move. Too weak. It's back up now where I am comfortable.
Can't seem to hit a happy medium with me and meds.
Annie

Huge snowflakes drifting down, drifting like ballerina's across walls, roofs, trees, and dried grasses. A delicate balance of large, light flakes brings the trees in and out of focus as each flake joins it's mates on the limbs of the trees.
A winter wonderland for the moment.

Another couple of hours of this though, and I'll be happy with the melt.

Annie goes through the same thing as me... mine gets to be 80/58 and I take forever to get around... then on top of that a temp less than 97...
what am I? a reptile?
but all the flock is quiet and waiting patiently for their breakfast.
Party time today as Mica is one year old (hatchdate)  and then Diana will be one on the 5th... Time flies past too quickly

Sunny and a bit on the chilly side in Las Vegas today - high expected to reach 50'ish.
Mom emailed pictures of their place .....in Yacolt Washington.  About 45 minutes from where I resided in Oregon.
Very pretty - told her to keep it though!  Just send photos!

We are very chilly and something spit out of the sky for a few minutes. Northern Oklahoma is expecting snow today but I think it will miss me, thank goodness.  It's getting very dark so we have something coming.

He finished my birdroom bar sink and put the original doors back on. Looks so clean. The old stuff was black leather look countertop, very beaten up, and a black sink with lots of lime deposits. Looked filthy even after a good scrubbing. This countertop is white with a SS sink.
Tomorrow he will install the new stuff in the other rooms. I have to empty the top shelves in the base cabinets. Where do you put 42 (maybe more) bottles of useless cleaning products? I know--the trash!!

Pretty pic Crystal, but I agree, they can keep it.

Gee whiz, it was 42 this morning and now it's 26 with sleet and snow. The roads are clear but wet, sooo, black ice.
Just a good dusting of snow. Ground is covered except for tall weeds.
I bet I have 50 dark eyed juncos, plus the usual cardinals and sparrows out eating. They are all puffy from the cold.
