Dan, you're such a Minnesotan.

Sooooo, did you get it fixed without surgery?  See, there are some good things you deserve to have happen to you.  Yes, you are a good person and it's OK to think so.  LOL

Big time tooth work coming up on the 8th of April.  3 hours of having teeth pulled and implants put in.  Oh joy...

tomorrow I am having my neck checked, carotid arteries?  Then Fri go back and have a 4 hr stress test!  Then next Thurs go back and have a holter monitor on...These were done last year so don't know why they are doing it again, except to check the mitral valve thingy going on....which i will assume is the holter monitor.  Just had heart and leg veins cleaned in Jan so what else they want to do, open heart surgery?  LOL

Hello
Most of you know my  20 year old son has Hereditary Spherocytosis aka HS.  HS is a blood disorder, and causes the speen to enlarge among other things.  My son is meeting the surgeon this Wednesday morning, that will be performing the Splenectomy.  I knew for years this was in the cards, but now that it is closer and is really going to happen, I am getting nervous.
Please keep him in your prayers.

Poor BiB, of course he's got my prayers. I hope the splenectomy gives him a lot of relief, Hannah. I've been reading up on HS, and I don't really understand how he can have the hereditary version if neither of his parents have it; they don't explain that too well. LOL Typical doctor site, huh? Keep us posted, sweetie.

Cyndy, the gene can skip.  There are distant relatives in my  paternal side of my family line who do have HS.  I don't know a lot about my paternal father's health, as you know, but  his fathers siblings almost all had health issues and problems.  Blood disorders, although I don't know what type, deaf, mute, club feet, crippled hands, hunch backed, heart problems.  My cousins's daughter has IPT and was being checked for HS, they thik she may have both.  Her baby is deaf.  Also, it can be a genetic mutation that pops up new in a family.  So I have a feeling I don't have the healthiest genes.  My dh and I have not been tested to see if we carry it, just to see if we have it.
Thank-you for the thoughts for BiB.

Good luck to you, sweetie. Hope you got some Epsom salts in for a sitz bath; you're gonna be glad to have them. Ask the hospital if they have a round basin you can take with you to sit in rather than filling a whole tub; it's too hot this time of year. I hope you heal quickly, hon!
Cyndy
