Sorry didnt know where to put this as there is no health board, I had a reminder to go and have my next smear , Im a little overdue according them ( oopppsss), on the later it said " It is very important to come for a smear due to your last results ", The last smear I had the results come back clear so now they are worrying me to death about it, my mum says they put that on all letters but I dont remember seeing it on my last letter, Im a bit miffed to be honest, if my results didnt come back normal last time surely I had a right to know xxx

Please don't worry yourself unnecessarily, why don't you phone the doctors and ask to speak to the nurse, she will either talk to you then or phone you back. Like your mum said it could just be that's what they put on all letters. Ive not long had my smear, i had a look 4 the letter they sent but i couldnt find it to see what was on mine. But please, please don't get upset about it, just phone and ask.... Oh and make an appointment for your smear while your at it.. NEVER LEAVE IT, Life's to preciouse. Keep us updated hun,

Thanx for your reply Polly, I foned the place that deals with all the smears and that, Apparently they have me own as 2 different people which managed to confuse the computer also I had an abnormal smear in 1996 ( which I knew nothing about) but it rectified itself apparently ( which I also knew nothing about), The women said the computer is in a total tizz over me and conflicting with itself, So 90% of me relieved and the other 10 % is annoyed that the computer kept me up all night ( and not in a good way ) xxx

Ohhhh sweetheart, well at least it has been noticed and they gonna put your records right.. i hope you made your appointment as well, its not the best of things to have but it could be a lot worse if u dont. Good luck and "Open wide" lol.

Lol , Its made more embarrassing coz I know the nurse who does the smears , I have seen her out and about when Ive been Clubbing, quite an icebreaker of a topic I cant tell ya lmao xxx

Cherry, it's good that you're not worrying anymore. Bloody computers are supposed to make life easier, not to make us worry about things. It's awful that you were kept worrying like that. Good that you're ok now though.

I need to go for a smear, have been having a weird discharge for months and am worrying about it, I rang the GUM clinic and they said it's not an std, and i've come off the Pill several months ago so my friend said it could be the body adjusting and getting back to normal as there is blood in the discharge, not much but it's still bothering me, I feel fine but it's good to get it checked out.

So this thread has reminded me to go for one, thanks.
