"Fingersmith" by Sarah Waters Set in the slums of Victorian London, "Fingersmith" is the tale of an orphan sent to live in a family of thieves. The title alone has us intrigued.
"Lucky In The Corner" by Carol Anshaw The story of a daughter who's forced to come to terms with her newly out-of-the-closet mother and cross-dressing uncle. "Stay" by Nicola Griffith When her lover dies violently, ex-cop Aud, normally the epitome of calm, cool, collected competence, disintegrates into grief.
"Godspeed" by Lynn Breedlove From the singer/songwriter of the dyke punk band Tribe 8, a novel about a speedfreak bike messenger and her brilliant stripper girlfriend.
"This Place Called Absence! by Lydia Kwa An Asian lesbian-themed novel (rare in itself) about a psychologist who discovers truths about herself while studying prostitutes in turn-of-the-century Singapore.
